Recruiting Coordinator Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a recruiting coordinator in Texas?
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or psychology is the most common starting point for recruiting coordinators in Texas, and no state-issued license is required for the role. Most Texas employers also value exposure to applicant tracking systems gained through internships or HR assistant roles. Earning a SHRM-CP or PHR certification strengthens your profile and is frequently listed as a preferred qualification by large Texas corporate and healthcare employers.
How much do recruiting coordinators make in Texas?
Recruiting coordinators in Texas earn a median of about $68,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,410 for the lowest 10% to over $117,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire recruiting coordinators in Texas?
Employers hiring recruiting coordinators in Texas right now include IDEA Public Schools, Bain & Company, and Signal Energy Constructors, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large hospital systems, and enterprise technology firms means corporate in-house recruiting teams here tend to be larger and hire more coordinators than the national average.
Which Texas cities have the most recruiting coordinator jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston account for the largest share of recruiting coordinator openings in Texas. Dallas and Houston generate the most volume because of their dense clusters of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and healthcare networks, while Austin's rapid tech sector growth has made it a consistent source of high-volume recruiting coordinator demand.
Are there remote recruiting coordinator jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Recruiting coordination is largely desk-based work involving scheduling, communication, and ATS management, which transfers well to remote settings. About 11% of recruiting coordinator openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in this state have adopted flexible arrangements for HR support roles. Sourcing coordination and onboarding scheduling are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a recruiting coordinator in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an HR coordinator or recruiting assistant role at a large Texas employer, where structured rotations and mentorship are common. Baylor Scott & White Health, Texas Health Resources, and major Dallas and Houston corporate headquarters regularly post entry-level HR and talent acquisition support positions that do not require prior recruiting experience. A SHRM student membership and hands-on familiarity with any applicant tracking system gained through coursework or a volunteer project gives candidates a measurable edge in these applications.
