Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Develops and executes strategic recruitment and marketing initiatives for graduate programs, ensuring close coordination with the Indiana University (IU) South Bend Admissions Office, including targeted communications, virtual events, and digital and social media campaigns to attract diverse student populations, including underrepresented, adult learners, and international students
- Develops and administers data-informed recruitment and communication plans
- Analyzes enrollment, retention, and student success data to inform strategies, advise on program improvements, and produce regular progress reports and dashboards for leadership
- Oversees and manages the end-to-end admissions process, including application reviews, system data inputs and maintenance, decision workflows, and enrollment tracking
- Collaborates with others involved with the recommendations and decisions for graduate programs, as needed
- Implements comprehensive yield strategies to convert admitted students into enrolled students, utilizing admitted-student events, personalized follow-ups, and targeted conversion campaigns
- Conducts targeted outreach through school visits, employer partnerships, conferences, and recruitment fairs
- Represents the College at local, regional, and national events
- Builds and sustains strategic partnerships with schools, employers, community organizations, and cultural groups to strengthen recruitment pipelines and expand student enrollment, aligning recruitment messages with program strengths and workforce needs in collaboration with academic program directors and faculty
- Participates actively in recruitment events, admissions support activities, and student retention initiatives
- Interacts professionally with prospective and current students, families, and external organizations to provide accurate information, resolve issues, and ensure a high quality applicant experience
General Responsibilities
- Maintains, implements, and oversees a holistic recruitment yield tactical plan for recruitment
- Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals
- Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors
- Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers
- Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment
- Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and processes and determines the effectiveness of markets and strategies
- Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations
- Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations
- Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various models
- May attend meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings, customer service lead meetings, and undergraduate recruitment council meetings
- May provide guidance to other admissions counselors

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This role requires the willingness and ability to travel for recruitment events.
Advertised Salary
$43,888.00 - $48,000.00 per year
