Real Estate Operations Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate operations professional in Texas?
Most real estate operations roles in Texas require or strongly prefer an active Texas Real Estate License, issued by the Texas Real Estate Commission after completing approved pre-licensing education and passing the state exam. For analyst or coordinator roles without a transaction focus, a bachelor's degree in real estate, business, or finance is the typical baseline. Employers in major Texas markets also value coursework or certifications from the Institute of Real Estate Management or BOMA International.
Which companies hire real estate operations professionals in Texas?
Employers hiring real estate operationss in Texas right now include RangeWater Real Estate, Amazon, and PepsiCo, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of corporate headquarters and major commercial portfolios in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston metros makes it one of the most active states for institutional real estate operations hiring.
Which Texas cities have the most real estate operations jobs?
Austin, Fort Worth, and Frisco account for the largest share of real estate operations openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense commercial corridor and the headquarters presence of major REITs and real estate services firms, while Houston's energy-sector office market and Austin's rapid tech-driven expansion fuel strong demand in those metros as well.
Are there remote real estate operations jobs in Texas?
Yes, but selectively. Real estate operations work often requires on-site inspections, tenant coordination, and facilities oversight that cannot be done remotely, so fully remote roles are less common than in purely desk-based fields. About 0% of real estate operations openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in transaction management, lease administration, and asset management analyst functions.
How can I get hired as a real estate operations professional in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for real estate operations coordinator or property management associate roles at large Texas-based property managers such as Lincoln Property Company or Greystar, both of which operate extensively across Texas and hire candidates without prior experience into structured onboarding programs. Adjacent roles like leasing consultant, facilities assistant, or administrative coordinator at a real estate firm provide the practical exposure employers want. Earning a Texas Real Estate License early signals commitment and opens doors that experience alone cannot.
Where can I find and apply to real estate operations jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to real estate operations jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across property management, asset management, lease administration, and related specialties. Find the roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
