Operations Supervisor Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a operations supervisor in Texas?
Most operations supervisor roles in Texas require a combination of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or operations management, though associate degrees with strong field experience are accepted in manufacturing and logistics. Texas has no single state license for this role, but employers in energy and industrial settings often require OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Advancing from a frontline role such as team lead or shift coordinator is the most common path into supervision.
How much do operations supervisors make in Texas?
Operations supervisors in Texas earn a median of about $130,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,780 for the lowest 10% to over $207,880 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire operations supervisors in Texas?
Employers hiring operations supervisors in Texas right now include Finish Line, Celestica, and Niagara Bottling, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's scale in logistics, petrochemicals, and food distribution means large, established companies with multiple Texas facilities drive a significant share of ongoing openings.
Which Texas cities have the most operations supervisor jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio have the most operations supervisor openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its concentration of energy, petrochemical, and port logistics employers, while Dallas-Fort Worth's massive distribution and e-commerce infrastructure drives consistent volume, and San Antonio's growing manufacturing and healthcare operations base supports steady demand.
Are there remote operations supervisor jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're rare. Operations supervisor work is largely hands-on and site-dependent, so most roles require a physical presence on a warehouse floor, plant, or distribution center. About 1% of operations supervisor openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those positions tend to involve multi-site oversight, scheduling coordination, or administrative operations rather than direct floor supervision.
How can I get hired as a operations supervisor in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a team lead or shift coordinator role at a Texas distribution center, manufacturing plant, or large retailer and building supervisory experience from there. Companies such as Amazon, H-E-B, and major logistics firms operating across Texas regularly hire from within and run structured lead development programs. Earning an OSHA 10 certification and completing coursework in operations management at a Texas community college strengthens a candidate's profile before making the move into a formal supervisor title.
Where can I find and apply to operations supervisor jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to operations supervisor jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring. Find roles that fit your experience level and location, then apply directly to the ones that match.
