Field Manager Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a field manager job in Houston?
Tailor your applications to Houston's dominant hiring sectors: oil and gas, commercial construction, and industrial services. Employers in the Energy Corridor and along the Ship Channel favor candidates with hands-on field supervision experience and familiarity with safety compliance in industrial environments. A background in project coordination, crew oversight, or trade work gives you a concrete edge in Houston's field-heavy market, where practical experience consistently outweighs credentials alone.
Which companies hire field managers in Houston?
Employers hiring field managers in Houston right now include Western Camps, Houston Hospice, and Block, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's mix of energy majors, large-scale contractors, and infrastructure operators means field manager demand comes from both corporate campuses and project-based firms working throughout the metro.
Are there remote field manager jobs in Houston?
Yes, but only for a subset of the role. Field manager work is largely site-dependent, so fully remote positions are rare. About 51% of field manager openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting limited availability. In Houston, hybrid arrangements tend to apply to the reporting, scheduling, and vendor coordination components of the role rather than the on-site supervision itself.
How can I get a field manager job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is moving into field manager roles from a lead technician, crew lead, or field coordinator position within the energy or construction sectors. Houston-area contractors and oilfield service companies regularly promote internally from field roles and hire entry-level supervisors for smaller project sites. Earning OSHA 30 certification and gaining experience with field reporting software strengthens your candidacy considerably with local employers.
Which industries hire the most field managers in Houston?
Most field manager openings in Houston sit in Manufacturing, Technology & Software, and Energy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's concentration of upstream and downstream energy operations, active commercial construction pipeline, and large-scale utility infrastructure keeps demand for field managers consistently high across these sectors.
