Field Marketing Associate Jobs in South Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing associate in South Dakota?
Most field marketing associate roles in South Dakota require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a closely related field, though some employers accept an associate degree paired with hands-on brand or sales experience. South Dakota does not require a state-issued license for this role. Candidates typically build their path through internships with Sioux Falls-area retailers or regional consumer brands, then transition into full-time field roles after demonstrating territory management and event execution skills.
Which companies hire field marketing associates in South Dakota?
South Dakota field marketing associate roles are posted by Pathward, Hurley & Associates, and South Dakota Board of Regents and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Dakota's mix of large healthcare systems, regional financial institutions, and agricultural equipment companies creates consistent demand for field marketers who can represent brands across rural and urban territories alike.
Which South Dakota cities have the most field marketing associate jobs?
Sioux Falls, Watertown, and Vermillion are the South Dakota cities with the most field marketing associate openings. Sioux Falls drives the largest share of postings as the state's commercial and healthcare center, while Rapid City's tourism economy and Black Hills retail corridor support regional field roles, and Aberdeen's strong agricultural and manufacturing base anchors employer demand in the northeastern part of the state.
Are there remote field marketing associate jobs in South Dakota?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing associate work is largely hands-on, requiring in-store visits, event setup, and face-to-face retailer engagement that cannot be done remotely. About 27% of field marketing associate openings tied to South Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to cover administrative reporting, campaign coordination, or digital asset management rather than core field execution duties.
How can I get hired as a field marketing associate in South Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a brand ambassador or retail merchandising role with a South Dakota-based employer such as Scheels, a regional grocery chain, or a Sioux Falls consumer goods distributor, where you build territory and event skills on the job. Large employers in the state often post associate or coordinator-level field roles that bridge into full field marketing positions. Completing a South Dakota university marketing internship or earning a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification also strengthens an entry-level application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in South Dakota?
