Field Marketing Specialist Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing specialist in Delaware?
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business is the standard entry point for field marketing specialist roles in Delaware. No state-issued license is required for the role itself. Delaware employers in financial services and pharmaceuticals typically look for candidates who can show hands-on campaign or event experience, so building a portfolio through internships or associate marketing roles at regional companies before applying to field-facing positions gives you a concrete edge.
How much do field marketing specialists make in Delaware?
Field marketing specialists in Delaware earn a median of about $101,270 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,480 for the lowest 10% to over $165,840 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field marketing specialists in Delaware?
Employers hiring field marketing specialists in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, Citi, and DuPont, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of financial services headquarters and life sciences companies in the Wilmington corridor makes it a consistent source of field marketing openings year-round.
Which Delaware cities have the most field marketing specialist jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Dover account for the largest share of field marketing specialist openings in Delaware. Wilmington dominates because it anchors Delaware's financial services and corporate headquarters sector, while Newark benefits from its proximity to the University of Delaware and a cluster of pharmaceutical and biotech employers, and Dover draws openings tied to state government contractors and regional consumer brands.
Are there remote field marketing specialist jobs in Delaware?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital marketing roles, because field marketing work is inherently territory-based and often requires in-person events and retailer visits. About 52% of field marketing specialist openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to cover campaign planning, reporting, and vendor coordination rather than on-the-ground activation.
How can I get hired as a field marketing specialist in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a marketing coordinator or brand ambassador role at one of Delaware's financial services firms or pharmaceutical companies and building territory experience from there. Large Wilmington-area employers regularly bring on marketing associates through new-graduate programs, and adjacent roles in inside sales or event coordination at regional consumer goods companies transfer well. A completed internship, a portfolio showing a local campaign or activation you managed, and familiarity with CRM tools will move your application to the front of the pile.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing specialist jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to field marketing specialist jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find the roles that match your experience and target territory, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
