Field Marketing Specialist Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing specialist in Kansas?
Most Kansas employers hire field marketing specialists who hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or communications. No state-issued license is required for this role in Kansas. Candidates who build experience through internships with Wichita-area manufacturers, Kansas City consumer brands, or Topeka-based financial services firms are consistently competitive. Familiarity with regional trade shows, retail activation, and CRM software adds measurable value when applying to Kansas postings.
How much do field marketing specialists make in Kansas?
Field marketing specialists in Kansas earn a median of about $70,430 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $38,540 for the lowest 10% to over $128,650 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field marketing specialists in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring field marketing specialists in Kansas include AdamsBrown, Garmin, and Black & Veatch, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas City's dense mix of logistics, food and beverage, and financial services firms drives a large share of ongoing field marketing demand across the state.
Which Kansas cities have the most field marketing specialist jobs?
Overland Park, Wichita, and Olathe account for the most field marketing specialist openings in Kansas. Kansas City anchors the largest share of postings, driven by its concentration of consumer goods companies, regional distributors, and corporate headquarters, while Wichita's aviation and manufacturing base generates steady demand, and Topeka produces openings tied to state government contractors and utility brands.
Are there remote field marketing specialist jobs in Kansas?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing is an inherently in-person discipline built around territory coverage, event execution, and face-to-face retailer engagement, so fully remote roles are uncommon. About 51% of field marketing specialist openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to concentrate the remote component in reporting, planning, and analytics tasks rather than the activation work itself.
How can I get hired as a field marketing specialist in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or brand ambassador role with a Kansas City consumer goods company or a Wichita-area manufacturer, where you can build direct event and territory experience before stepping into a specialist title. Large Kansas employers in retail distribution and financial services regularly hire recent graduates into marketing associate programs. A portfolio showing executed activations, even from campus organizations or internships with Kansas nonprofits, gives candidates a concrete edge over applicants with only coursework.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing specialist jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to field marketing specialist jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings across Wichita, Kansas City, Topeka, and surrounding areas. Find roles that match your experience and location and apply directly to the ones that fit.
