I opened my agency in 2020 and currently lead a team of five. My State Farm career actually began while I was still in college, when I took a part-time internship with a local agent during my senior year. That opportunity turned into a sales position and eventually led me to agency ownership. I also played college basketball, so competition, teamwork, and striving to improve have always been a big part of who I am.
Our agency is very connected to the local community. We work closely with area schools and participate in and sponsor a variety of community events throughout the year, including local art fairs. We enjoy getting out of the office, meeting people, and being part of the community we serve.
For our team, we offer paid time off, licensing reimbursement, a hiring bonus, and a strong commitment to work-life balance. Team members also have the opportunity to qualify for a fully paid team trip - one of the ways we recognize and reward great performance.
Our culture is best described as work hard, play hard. We’re competitive, people-oriented, and enjoy being part of a winning team. I’m looking for someone who is outgoing, honest, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoys helping people. The right person can take direction and run with it, enjoys recognition for a job well done, and wants to be actively involved in the community. If you’re competitive, driven, and want to work alongside people who enjoy succeeding together, we’d love to meet you.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive retention and growth.
- Conduct policy reviews and provide recommendations to customers.
- Oversee the resolution of complex customer issues.

- Willingness to engage in sales conversations.

Account Manager Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Kansas?
Most account manager roles in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and no state-issued license applies to the general role. Employers in agriculture and financial services often expect industry-specific knowledge gained through a related degree or prior work in those sectors. Building experience in customer service, inside sales, or business development is the most common path Kansas hiring managers look for before promoting or hiring into a full account manager role.
How much do account managers make in Kansas?
Account managers in Kansas earn a median of about $62,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $34,200 for the lowest 10% to over $147,800 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Kansas?
Kansas account manager roles are posted by State Farm, Kwik Consulting, and Cogent Communications and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kansas's mix of aerospace, energy, agriculture, and regional banking means account manager openings are spread across a wide range of established industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Kansas cities have the most account manager jobs?
Wichita, Overland Park, and Lenexa have the most account manager openings in Kansas. Wichita leads because of its aerospace manufacturing base and regional corporate headquarters, while Kansas City draws B2B technology and financial services roles, and Topeka generates consistent openings tied to state government contractors and utilities like Evergy.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since account management is largely relationship-driven and can transfer well to phone and video communication. About 43% of account manager openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many employers now split field visits from administrative and pipeline work. National and regional technology and SaaS employers tend to post the largest share of fully remote account manager roles tied to Kansas.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a business development representative or inside sales associate, roles that large Kansas employers in manufacturing and financial services regularly fill with new graduates. Companies like Cargill and regional banks hire entry-level relationship associates who rotate into account management responsibilities. Earning a Certified Sales Professional credential or completing a structured sales development program at a Wichita or Kansas City employer strengthens a candidate's application before moving into a named account manager title.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to account manager jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring across the state. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that match your experience.
