Field Operations Coordinator Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field operations coordinator in Vermont?
Most Vermont employers hire field operations coordinators with a combination of relevant education and hands-on field experience, typically in utilities, construction, or environmental services. A degree in operations management, environmental science, civil engineering, or a related field is the most common educational path. Vermont does not issue a state-specific license for this role, but coordinators working in regulated industries such as utilities or environmental remediation often need to complete OSHA safety training and may pursue project management certifications recognized by Vermont employers.
Which companies hire field operations coordinators in Vermont?
Vermont field operations coordinator roles are posted by Beta Technologies, Linde, and Milton Cat and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's utility, transportation, and environmental sectors drive consistent openings, with state agencies and energy companies among the most active and stable employers.
Which Vermont cities have the most field operations coordinator jobs?
Burlington, Vermont, and South Burlington have the most field operations coordinator openings in Vermont. Burlington's concentration of utility providers, construction firms, and regional logistics operations anchors most of the demand, while Montpelier draws openings through state government agencies and Rutland sees activity tied to infrastructure and environmental services projects in the southern and central parts of the state.
Are there remote field operations coordinator jobs in Vermont?
Yes, but they're rare. About 33% of field operations coordinator openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting that the role is fundamentally on-site and crew-facing. The tasks most likely to shift remote or hybrid are scheduling, reporting, compliance documentation, and vendor communication, while direct site oversight and crew coordination almost always require a physical presence.
How can I get hired as a field operations coordinator in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a field operations coordinator role from an adjacent position such as field technician, construction laborer, dispatcher, or equipment operator, where you already understand site workflows. Vermont employers including Green Mountain Power and the Agency of Transportation regularly hire operations associates or project support staff with no coordinator experience, then promote from within. Completing an OSHA 30-hour construction or general industry course and obtaining a clean commercial driver's license gives applicants a concrete edge before their first interview.
Where can I find and apply to field operations coordinator jobs in Vermont?
Migrate Mate lists current field operations coordinator openings in Vermont across utilities, construction, environmental services, and state government. Find roles that match your background and apply directly to the employers posting them. No account or profile is required to search and apply.
