Finance Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance job in Dallas?
Target Dallas's core finance corridors: the CBD for large banks and corporate headquarters, Uptown for boutique investment firms and wealth management, and Las Colinas for insurance and financial services companies. Candidates with CPA credentials, CFA progress, or direct experience in financial modeling and reporting stand out locally. Networking through the Dallas CFA Society and DFW Financial Executives events also opens doors that job boards alone won't.
Which companies hire finances in Dallas?
Employers hiring finances in Dallas right now include Scotiabank, Texas Oncology, and EssilorLuxottica, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas draws a wide mix of employers, from Fortune 500 corporate headquarters and regional banks to private equity firms and insurance giants, making it one of the most varied finance hiring markets in the South.
Are there remote finance jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of role. Analytical and reporting-focused finance positions are more remote-friendly, while treasury operations, accounting close, and on-site audit roles typically require in-office presence. About 44% of finance openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at larger corporate headquarters in the CBD and Las Colinas.
How can I get a finance job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is targeting financial analyst or accounts payable roles at mid-size corporate headquarters, many of which are concentrated in Las Colinas and Frisco. Dallas also has a strong community college pipeline through Richland College and Dallas College, whose accounting and finance programs are recognized by local employers. Internships at regional banks or insurance firms in the CBD frequently convert to full-time roles for candidates who perform well.
