Finance Systems Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a finance systems manager in Texas?
Most Texas employers require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or business administration as the foundation. Texas does not require a state-issued license to work in this role, but candidates with a CPA issued through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy or a certified ERP credential such as SAP certification gain a competitive edge. Progression typically runs from financial analyst or systems analyst roles into management as ERP experience deepens.
Which companies hire finance systems managers in Texas?
Employers hiring finance systems managers in Texas right now include McKesson, All IT Solutions, and IES Holdings, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, energy majors, and large regional health systems means demand is distributed across industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most finance systems manager jobs?
Texas, Plano, and Austin have the most finance systems manager openings in Texas. Houston's dominance reflects its energy sector headquarters and medical center operations, while Dallas draws volume from its dense concentration of financial services firms and corporate regional offices, and Austin's fast-growing tech and semiconductor employers have added consistent demand in recent years.
Are there remote finance systems manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most finance roles. Finance systems managers work primarily with software platforms, data, and cross-functional teams rather than requiring a physical presence, making the role well suited to remote or hybrid arrangements. About 100% of finance systems manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. System implementation projects and audit-sensitive periods are most likely to require on-site time.
How can I get hired as a finance systems manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst or ERP systems analyst role at a large Texas employer, then building toward management as platform expertise grows. Companies like ExxonMobil, USAA, and large Texas health systems run structured rotational or associate programs that place new graduates into finance operations teams. Earning an entry-level SAP or Oracle certification before applying gives candidates a concrete technical signal that offsets limited work history.
Where can I find and apply to finance systems manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to finance systems manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly from each listing.
