Finance Jobs in Plano: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance job in Plano?
Focus your search on Plano's dense corporate corridors, particularly Legacy Business Park and the Dallas North Tollway corridor, where financial services firms, insurance carriers, and Fortune 500 treasury and accounting teams concentrate. Candidates with experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, or risk management have a clear edge here. Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is a practical advantage with many of Plano's large employer base.
Which companies hire finances in Plano?
Employers hiring finances in Plano right now include JPMorganChase, Integer, and OmniOn Power, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Plano's employer mix leans toward large corporate headquarters, regional financial institutions, and insurance and technology firms with substantial finance departments.
Are there remote finance jobs in Plano?
Yes, though it depends on the role, with analytical and reporting positions being far more remote-friendly than those requiring hands-on cash handling or on-site compliance work. About 100% of finance openings tied to Plano are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the high concentration of corporate back-office functions in the area. Financial analyst, FP&A, and accounting roles at Plano's large headquarters tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a finance job in Plano with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is targeting large Plano corporate headquarters that run structured rotational or associate programs in accounting and finance, particularly in the insurance and financial services sectors anchored along the Tollway. Entry-level accounts payable, junior financial analyst, and staff accountant roles are common first steps. A relevant internship with a Plano-area firm, even part-time, and proficiency in Excel and basic ERP tools will differentiate you in a competitive local applicant pool.
