Finance Systems Manager Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a finance systems manager in Kansas?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, management information systems, or a related field, followed by several years in financial analysis or systems administration roles. Kansas does not require a state-issued license specific to this position, but earning a CPA through the Kansas Board of Accountancy or a CMA through IMA strengthens candidacy significantly, particularly with the state's large healthcare systems, agribusiness firms, and energy companies.
Which companies hire finance systems managers in Kansas?
Kansas finance systems manager roles are posted by SPX Technologies, Ryder System, and Sedgwick County, KS and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's mix of corporate headquarters, regional healthcare networks, and large agribusiness operations generates consistent demand for this role throughout the year.
Which Kansas cities have the most finance systems manager jobs?
Wichita, Overland Park, and Topeka account for the largest share of finance systems manager openings in Kansas. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive volume through corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and health technology companies, while Wichita's manufacturing base and energy sector produce steady demand for ERP and financial systems expertise.
Are there remote finance systems manager jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Finance systems management is largely desk-based and project-oriented, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 60% of finance systems manager openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader adoption of flexible work across the sector. System implementation phases and stakeholder alignment meetings are the parts most likely to require occasional on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a finance systems manager in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst, staff accountant, or systems analyst role at a Kansas employer, then building ERP exposure from the inside. Large Kansas employers such as Cerner, Koch Industries affiliates, and regional health systems regularly hire graduates for rotational finance and IT programs that develop systems skills over time. Earning an ERP certification in SAP or Oracle and completing a hands-on implementation project independently, even at a small Kansas nonprofit or municipality, can substitute for formal work history.
Where can I find and apply to finance systems manager jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to finance systems manager jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings updated regularly. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
