Who We Are
We are a wealth advisory firm that provides creative, personalized financial planning for a lifetime and beyond. We’re as passionate about your dreams as you are, and we’re committed to helping you get there.
What We Are Looking For
We’re expanding our team with people who share our vision and want to add real, lasting value to our clients – people who think about how we can do things better, make an impact, and grow together. We’re looking for an Associate Financial Advisor to join our team and support our lead advisor, playing a key role in retaining existing relationships while helping develop new ones. This is a full-time, salaried position with a clear path to grow into a full advisor role, including potential for succession.
The attributes that we are looking for in a teammate include:
- A proactive, results-driven and client-centric attitude.
- Communicates clearly and explains things in a simple, relatable way.
- Dependable, committed, honest, and friendly.
- Levelheaded temperament; knows how to listen first.
- Ability to communicate the right details to clients.
- Natural self-starter with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- A true team player who collaborates closely to ensure the best outcome every time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Humility and quick responsiveness to client questions.
- A long view of the opportunities the firm and the industry present.
Who You Are
- You’re early-to-mid career in financial services, with hands-on experience supporting an advisor as an Associate Financial Advisor or paraplanner.
- You see this as a launching pad – you’re motivated to grow into a full advisory role, not stay behind the scenes indefinitely.
- You take genuine ownership of client relationships and want to be a trusted point of contact, not just support staff.
- You’re organized enough to juggle multiple client workflows without anything slipping through the cracks.
- You want to be in the room - part of the day-to-day energy of growing a team.
- You either hold your CFP or are working toward it, and you want a firm that will invest in getting you there.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the lead advisor to build and refine client financial plans using eMoney, Holistiplan and Income Lab.
- Sit in on client meetings, capture the details that matter, and turn them into clear summary letters and thorough follow-up.
- Produce polished, accurate client deliverables – and keep a close eye on account alerts so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Dig into each client’s goals and risk profile to make sure their plan truly reflects their life, not just the numbers.
- Build real relationships with clients – learning their circumstances, their people, their interests, and what matters most to them.
- Be a reliable, responsive voice for clients, resolving questions and concerns quickly and thoughtfully.
- Stay sharp on what’s happening in financial planning and investing, and bring fresh ideas back to the team.
What You Bring to the Table
- B.A. or B.S. in Business.
- Series 7 and Series 66 (63 and 65) required.
- 2-3 years of experience in financial services, in a similar role.
- Prior experience as an Associate Financial Advisor or Paraplanner required.
- CFP preferred but not required – the firm will sponsor your path to CFP.
- Insurance licenses preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel), eMoney, Holistiplan, Income Lab, Ycharts, Zocks and Morningstar.
We welcome a diverse pool of applicants from various backgrounds and urge you to apply to learn more about what our firm offers and see if it might be an attractive fit for both us and you. We look forward to meeting you!

Financial Advisor Jobs in Connecticut: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial advisor in Connecticut?
Becoming a financial advisor in Connecticut starts with earning a bachelor's degree, then passing the FINRA Series 7 exam to sell securities and the Series 66 exam to register as an investment advisor representative with the Connecticut Department of Banking. Advisors who sell insurance products must also hold a Connecticut insurance producer license issued through the Connecticut Insurance Department. Many employers additionally require or strongly prefer the CFP designation.
Which companies hire financial advisors in Connecticut?
Employers hiring financial advisors in Connecticut right now include Northwestern Mutual, TD, and Alera, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Connecticut's concentration of insurance and asset management headquarters, particularly in and around Hartford and Stamford, means many of these employers offer both traditional broker-dealer and fee-based advisory tracks.
Which Connecticut cities have the most financial advisor jobs?
Hartford, Stamford, and Glastonbury consistently post the most financial advisor openings in Connecticut. Hartford's density of insurance and financial services headquarters drives volume there, while Stamford and Greenwich attract private wealth and institutional advisory roles tied to the region's proximity to New York City's financial corridor and its high concentration of affluent households.
Are there remote financial advisor jobs in Connecticut?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical fields because client-facing relationship work often requires in-person meetings. About 33% of financial advisor openings tied to Connecticut are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements more prevalent than fully remote. The planning and portfolio analysis portions of the role are most commonly performed remotely, while prospecting and client review meetings typically remain in person.
How can I get hired as a financial advisor in Connecticut with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a financial advisor associate or client service associate role at a large Connecticut firm, where you support senior advisors while studying for your Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Employers such as Voya Financial and regional banks with wealth divisions in Hartford and Stamford run structured associate programs for recent graduates. Candidates who enter from bank teller, insurance customer service, or financial analyst roles often have an advantage, and beginning the CFP coursework signals commitment even before licensure.
Where can I find and apply to financial advisor jobs in Connecticut?
