Financial Analyst Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a financial analyst job in Los Angeles?
Start by targeting the sectors that drive Los Angeles hiring: entertainment studios, real estate investment firms, private equity funds, and regional banks. Jobs concentrate in Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, and Westwood. Candidates who combine Excel and financial modeling skills with exposure to entertainment or real estate finance stand out locally. Networking through industry events in these districts also opens doors that online applications alone don't.
Which companies hire financial analysts in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles financial analyst roles are posted by Fox Corporation, Citi, and Bank of China and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The local market includes a strong mix of entertainment conglomerates, commercial real estate firms, asset managers, and regional financial institutions that hire analysts at multiple levels.
Are there remote financial analyst jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though it depends on the role: purely desk-based modeling and reporting work is more remote-friendly than positions tied to deal teams or studio production finance. About 31% of financial analyst openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with tech-adjacent firms and corporate finance departments most likely to offer flexible arrangements.
How can I get a financial analyst job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is targeting junior financial analyst or analyst associate roles at mid-size real estate firms, regional banks, or entertainment company finance departments in Los Angeles. Employers in these sectors regularly hire candidates directly out of finance or accounting programs at local universities. Building familiarity with real estate underwriting or entertainment P&L structures gives entry-level applicants a clear edge over generalist candidates in this market.
Which industries hire the most financial analysts in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles financial analyst roles concentrate in Banking & Financial Services, Media & Entertainment, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors dominate local hiring because Los Angeles serves as a global center for media and entertainment while also hosting one of the largest commercial real estate markets and a growing base of private capital firms in the western United States.
