Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an Account Coordinator
Match your degree to the PERM job description
PERM requires your foreign degree to align with the minimum requirements listed in the employer's job posting. If your degree field differs from the role's listed requirement, gather equivalency evaluations and transcripts before any employer initiates the filing.
Use OFLC Wage Search before salary negotiations
DOL sets the prevailing wage for your Account Coordinator role by location and experience level. Knowing your Level I or Level II wage before an offer gives you a grounded reference point and flags employers whose offers fall below what PERM legally requires.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Not all agencies or client-services firms have run PERM before. Use Migrate Mate to filter Account Coordinator roles by employers who have previously sponsored green cards, so you're not educating a hiring team on a process they've never navigated.
Ask about the EB-2 vs EB-3 track during screening
Many Account Coordinator roles qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers, but if you hold an advanced degree or have a specialized background, ask whether the employer will support an EB-2 filing. The distinction affects your priority date and overall wait time.
Clarify who covers PERM recruitment advertising costs
PERM requires the employer to run a mandatory recruitment campaign before USCIS will accept the I-140. Confirm in writing that your employer covers these advertising and legal costs, since some smaller agencies try to pass partial expenses to sponsored employees.
Keep your O*NET occupation profile on file
DOL auditors sometimes request documentation showing the Account Coordinator role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Having the O*NET profile for your specific SOC code ready helps your employer's immigration counsel respond to PERM audit requests without delays.

Find Account Coordinator JobsAccount Coordinator Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Coordinator role qualify for green card sponsorship?
Yes, Account Coordinator positions regularly qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers when the role requires a bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience. Employers must file PERM labor certification with DOL to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available before USCIS processes the I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf.
How is green card sponsorship different from H-1B for this role?
Green card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status that requires renewal. Unlike H-1B, there is no lottery for employment-based green cards at the EB-3 level, though wait times vary significantly by country of birth. The PERM process also binds you to the sponsoring employer until the I-140 is approved, unless you plan for portability.
How long does the green card process take for Account Coordinators?
From PERM filing to green card approval, the process typically runs three to five years for applicants born in countries without significant backlogs. PERM certification alone can take six to eighteen months depending on whether DOL audits the application. Applicants born in India or China may face substantially longer waits due to per-country annual limits.
Where can I find Account Coordinator jobs that sponsor green cards?
Most general job boards don't filter by green card sponsorship history, so you'll spend significant time on roles where employers have never filed PERM. Migrate Mate focuses specifically on employment-based sponsorship and lets you search Account Coordinator roles by employers with documented green card filing experience, narrowing your search to companies already familiar with the process.
Can my Account Coordinator employer rescind sponsorship after PERM is filed?
Yes, employers can withdraw a PERM application before the I-140 is approved, which would restart your process with a new sponsor. Once your I-140 is approved and you've accumulated 180 days in an approved status, AC21 portability rules allow you to change to a comparable role without losing your priority date, reducing your dependence on the original employer.
