Green Card Advertising Manager Jobs
Advertising Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to test the U.S. labor market before filing an I-140 petition on your behalf. Agencies, in-house marketing teams, and media companies have established PERM filing histories for this occupation, making permanent sponsorship a realistic path for qualified foreign professionals.

Document your specialty occupation credentials early
PERM requires your degree field to align with the Advertising Manager role. Gather transcripts, credential evaluations, and portfolio evidence showing your degree maps directly to brand strategy, campaign management, or media planning rather than general business.
Target employers with active PERM filing histories
Use the DOL's OFLC Wage Search to identify companies that have previously sponsored Advertising Manager roles under EB-2 or EB-3. Employers with established PERM workflows move faster and face fewer compliance surprises during your certification process.
Negotiate a start date that accommodates PERM timelines
PERM labor certification alone can take six to twelve months before USCIS even sees your I-140. During offer negotiations, confirm the employer understands this timeline and is willing to begin the process before your current work authorization expires.
Clarify whether EB-2 or EB-3 fits your credentials
EB-2 requires a master's degree or its equivalent in a relevant field; EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree. Your degree level and the job description's minimum requirements both affect which category your employer can file under, so align this with your immigration attorney before signing an offer.
Search for sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter Advertising Manager roles by green card sponsorship availability using Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 filing activity so you aren't spending time on companies with no established sponsorship path.
Understand how prevailing wage shapes your offer
DOL sets a prevailing wage for your job title and work location through OFLC. Your employer's offer must meet or exceed that wage level, so cross-check any offer against the O*NET occupation profile and OFLC Wage Search data before accepting.
Green Card Advertising Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Advertising Manager roles commonly qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Advertising Manager is classified as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related field, which satisfies EB-3 professional requirements. Candidates holding a master's degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, or those who can demonstrate equivalent experience, may qualify under EB-2. Agencies, Fortune 500 in-house teams, and media companies have established PERM filing histories for this role.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for Advertising Managers?
H-1B visa is a temporary work visa subject to an annual lottery, with no guarantee of selection. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most nationalities outside India and China. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and adjustment of status can take two to four years in total, compared to an H-1B approval in a few months.
How can I find Advertising Manager jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Search for Advertising Manager roles on Migrate Mate, which filters positions by employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship activity. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that an employer has never navigated PERM before or lacks the HR infrastructure to support a multi-year sponsorship commitment.
What documents should I prepare before approaching employers about green card sponsorship?
Prepare a credential evaluation from a recognized service confirming your foreign degree is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's or master's in a relevant field. Compile a portfolio demonstrating campaign leadership, budget management, and team oversight, since PERM job descriptions for Advertising Managers often specify these duties as minimum requirements, and your experience must match them precisely for the certification to hold.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm working on H-1B or another visa status?
Yes. Employers can file a PERM labor certification for you regardless of your current nonimmigrant status. This is a common path: you work on H-1B while your employer simultaneously pursues PERM, I-140, and eventually adjustment of status. USCIS processes the green card petition independently of your temporary visa status, so there's no requirement to wait until your H-1B expires before beginning.
