Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an Agile Product Owner
Frame your credentials around PERM documentation
PERM requires your employer to verify your qualifications match the posted job requirements exactly. Gather transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and letters from past managers that tie your Agile or product experience to specific educational requirements before you begin applications.
Target employers with active EB-3 filing history
Product Owner roles most commonly qualify under EB-3 skilled worker or professional categories. Prioritize mid-size to large technology and financial services companies, where dedicated HR and legal teams make PERM filings routine rather than a one-off burden requiring executive approval.
Verify the role's prevailing wage before negotiating
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your job title and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the Level I through Level IV wage tiers for product management roles in your target city before salary discussions begin.
Search for green card sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate
Filter your job search to companies with documented PERM and I-140 filing history. Migrate Mate surfaces Agile Product Owner openings at employers who have sponsored green cards before, so you're not cold-pitching sponsorship to HR teams unfamiliar with the process.
Distinguish your EB-2 eligibility from the standard EB-3 path
If your role requires an advanced degree or you hold one, request that your employer file under EB-2 instead of EB-3. EB-2 priority dates move faster for most countries and the I-140 approval carries more portability protection under AC21 rules after 180 days.
Understand how concurrent filing changes your timeline
If your priority date is current when your I-140 is approved, you can file I-485 adjustment of status at the same time, cutting months off your overall timeline. Confirm with your employer's immigration counsel whether your country of birth and visa category make you eligible for concurrent filing.

Find Agile Product Owner JobsAgile Product Owner Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Agile Product Owner role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Agile Product Owner positions typically qualify under EB-3 as a skilled worker or professional role when the job requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field. If your employer requires a master's degree or you hold one and the role demands it, EB-2 sponsorship may apply instead. USCIS evaluates the specific job requirements posted during PERM, not just your personal credentials.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa with an annual lottery cap and a maximum six-year base duration. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no lottery and no status expiration once approved. The process takes longer overall, often two to four years from PERM filing to a green card, but EB-3 has no annual numerical cap for most countries outside India and China, meaning your priority date advances more predictably.
How can I find Agile Product Owner jobs where employers are already prepared to sponsor a green card?
Use Migrate Mate to search for Product Owner openings filtered by employers with verified PERM and I-140 filing history. Targeting companies that have sponsored green cards before eliminates the negotiation stage where HR teams unfamiliar with PERM often decline. Tech companies, healthcare systems, and large financial services firms represent the most active sponsors for product management roles.
Can I change employers during the PERM or green card process without losing my place?
Once your I-140 has been approved for more than 180 days and your new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification, AC21 portability lets you change employers without restarting your priority date. Agile Product Owner and adjacent product management titles generally fall within the same SOC code range, but confirm with your new employer's immigration counsel before making the move.
What documents should I prepare before asking an employer to start PERM sponsorship?
Compile your academic transcripts, a credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S., and reference letters from supervisors that describe your Agile Product Owner duties in detail. PERM requires the employer to document that your qualifications meet the minimum requirements of the job as advertised, so any gap between your resume and the posted role description can delay or jeopardize certification. Having organized documentation ready speeds the process significantly.
