Client Associate Green Card Jobs
Client Associate roles at U.S. financial services and wealth management firms can qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. Employers file on your behalf, certifying that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Understanding how sponsorship works in this relationship-driven field helps you target the right firms and negotiate the process confidently.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Client Associate
Align your credentials to PERM requirements
PERM requires your employer to define a minimum education requirement for the role. If your Client Associate position requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, document that your foreign degree meets U.S. equivalency standards before sponsorship begins.
Target firms with established PERM filing histories
Large wirehouses, registered investment advisers, and regional broker-dealers file PERM applications more predictably than boutique shops. Search DOL PERM disclosure data to confirm whether a prospective employer has sponsored Client Associate or similar roles before.
Use OFLC Wage Search to anchor salary negotiations
PERM requires your employer to pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location. Pull the OFLC Wage Search figures for your metro area so you enter offer negotiations knowing the DOL-mandated floor, not just market benchmarks.
Find sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Filtering by employers who actively sponsor green cards for Client Associate roles saves weeks of cold outreach. Migrate Mate surfaces firms with verified PERM and I-140 filing histories, so you can focus your applications on employers already familiar with the process.

Find Client Associate JobsClient Associate Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Client Associate roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Client Associate positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled worker or professional roles, particularly when the employer requires a bachelor's degree. EB-2 sponsorship is possible if the role requires an advanced degree or you have a combination of advanced education and substantial progressive experience that meets DOL standards. Your employer's legal counsel will determine the appropriate category during PERM preparation.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status. There's no annual lottery, and EB-3 has no per-petition cap the way H-1B does. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes six months to over a year before USCIS even reviews the I-140 petition. H-1B is faster to obtain but expires; EB-2 and EB-3 are permanent once approved.
What does the PERM labor certification process require from my employer?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate that no minimally qualified U.S. worker applied for the Client Associate position. This includes posting the job, reviewing applications, and documenting rejections. Only after completing recruitment can the employer file the ETA 9089 form with DOL. The entire process must follow strict procedural rules, which is why employers typically use immigration attorneys.
How can I find Client Associate jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't advertise green card sponsorship explicitly, which makes it hard to know which employers will actually commit. Migrate Mate lets you search Client Associate roles filtered by employers with documented PERM and I-140 filing histories, so you can identify firms that have sponsored similar positions before rather than discovering sponsorship policies only after a job offer.
Can my employer start the green card process while I'm on H-1B status?
Yes, and many employers do exactly that. Filing PERM and I-140 while you're in H-1B status is standard practice. An approved I-140 also strengthens your H-1B extension eligibility beyond the standard six years under AC21 portability rules. USCIS allows you to continue working through status transitions as long as filings are properly sequenced and your current authorization remains valid.
