Green Card Enterprise Application Architect Jobs
Enterprise Application Architect roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM labor certification, which requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position. Architecture roles commanding a master's degree or equivalent specialized experience typically align with EB-2 classification.

Document your architecture credentials before applying
PERM requires your employer to verify your qualifications match the posted job requirements exactly. Gather degree transcripts, professional certifications, and project portfolios now so you can substantiate every credential the labor certification lists.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Large technology firms, consulting companies, and financial institutions routinely sponsor Enterprise Application Architects through PERM. Search OFLC disclosure data to confirm a prospective employer has filed PERM applications for architecture or systems integration roles before.
Search for sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by green card sponsorship history, so you can identify which employers have sponsored Enterprise Application Architect or similar senior architecture roles rather than cold-applying and asking about sponsorship later.
Negotiate the prevailing wage tier during offer discussions
DOL assigns your PERM application a prevailing wage level based on job duties. Architects placed at Level III or IV attract higher wage floors, but also signal a genuinely specialized role, which strengthens the labor certification and reduces audit risk.
Clarify your employer's I-140 filing timeline upfront
PERM approval is only the first stage. Confirm whether your employer plans to file the I-140 immigrant petition concurrently or after PERM certifies, since that gap directly affects when your priority date is established and your permanent residency clock starts.
Verify your SOC code alignment before PERM recruitment
PERM filings for Enterprise Application Architects typically use a specific Standard Occupational Classification code. Check the O*NET occupation profile to confirm the role description matches your actual duties before your employer begins the mandatory DOL recruitment period.
Green Card Enterprise Application Architect: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Enterprise Application Architect role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Enterprise Application Architect positions qualify for EB-2 because the role typically requires an advanced degree or a bachelor's degree plus substantial specialized experience in enterprise systems design. If the employer defines the minimum requirement as a bachelor's degree with no graduate credential, EB-3 professional classification applies instead. Your employer's attorney determines classification based on the actual job requirements posted during PERM recruitment, not on your personal qualifications alone.
How does green card sponsorship through PERM differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant status with a three-year initial period, an annual lottery cap, and no path to permanence on its own. PERM-based sponsorship targets lawful permanent residency directly, has no annual lottery, and once your I-140 is approved your status doesn't expire in the same way. The tradeoff is time: PERM recruitment, DOL review, I-140 adjudication, and adjustment of status can span two to four years for most-favored-nation countries, longer for heavily backlogged nationals.
What does the PERM recruitment process look like for an architecture role?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-prescribed recruitment campaign, including print or online job advertisements, internal postings, and a search with a state workforce agency, to demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available. For a specialized role like Enterprise Application Architect, the job description must precisely reflect actual duties. Any qualified U.S. applicant who meets the stated minimum requirements can disqualify the PERM filing, so the documented requirements must be genuinely tied to the position.
Can I search specifically for employers who sponsor green cards for architecture roles?
Yes. Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by employers with documented green card sponsorship history, including architecture and systems integration roles. Rather than inquiring about sponsorship after applying broadly, you can start with a shortlist of employers who have already navigated PERM for comparable positions, which saves significant time and reduces the risk of investing in an offer that never leads to a filed petition.
Does my priority date lock in when PERM is filed or when it's approved?
Your priority date is established when USCIS receives your I-140 petition, not when your employer files or receives PERM certification. DOL certifies the PERM application first, then your employer submits the I-140. If your country of birth faces a visa backlog in the EB-2 or EB-3 category, the gap between I-140 approval and an available visa number can add years to the overall timeline regardless of when PERM was filed.
