Green Card Growth Jobs
Growth roles in strategy, product, and marketing analytics qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM labor certification when they require a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Employers file an I-140 immigrant petition after DOL certification, putting you on a path to permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary status.

Document your growth credentials before applying
Gather transcripts, performance data, and any published analyses or case studies before you start. PERM requires your employer to verify you meet the minimum stated qualifications, so mismatches between your resume and degree field can trigger a Request for Evidence.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL's PERM disclosure data to identify companies that have sponsored growth, marketing, or analytics roles before. Repeat filers have established in-house counsel or immigration vendors, which shortens your path from offer to certified petition.
Use Migrate Mate to find green card sponsoring employers
Filter by job title and sponsorship type on Migrate Mate to surface Growth roles where employers have documented EB-2 or EB-3 filing history, so you're not guessing which companies will actually run the PERM process for your position.
Negotiate job title precision into your offer letter
The PERM application locks in the exact job title and duties. A vague title like 'Growth Manager' covering both paid acquisition and SEO can complicate the prevailing-wage determination at OFLC Wage Search, so push for specificity before you sign.
Verify your role's SOC code before PERM begins
Your employer's immigration attorney will assign a Standard Occupational Classification code that determines your prevailing wage. Cross-reference your actual duties against the O*NET occupation profile for that code, because a misclassified SOC can result in an underpaid wage level and an audit.
Understand concurrent filing if your priority date is current
If you're from a country without a significant EB-2 or EB-3 backlog, your employer can file the I-140 and your I-485 adjustment of status concurrently once PERM is certified. This collapses the wait significantly compared to waiting for each stage sequentially.
Green Card Growth: Frequently Asked Questions
Which EB category covers Growth roles, EB-2 or EB-3?
Most Growth roles qualify under EB-3 as professionals if they require a U.S. bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent. Roles with a master's degree requirement, or where you hold an advanced degree and the position demands it, can be filed under EB-2. Your employer's attorney chooses the category based on the job description and your credentials, not your preference.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Growth professionals?
The EB-2 and EB-3 green card process has no annual lottery and leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status requiring renewal. The trade-off is timeline: PERM labor certification alone typically takes six to twelve months before the I-140 is even filed. H-1B visa is faster to obtain but caps out at six years without a pending green card, making EB sponsorship the more durable long-term option for Growth careers.
Can my employer start PERM while I'm on an H-1B or OPT?
Yes. Employers routinely file PERM while you're working on a valid H-1B or OPT. Starting early matters because PERM certification can take over a year and country-specific EB-3 priority date backlogs can add years more. Your current work authorization status does not affect the PERM filing itself, only your ability to remain employed during the wait.
How do I find Growth employers who will sponsor a green card?
Search Migrate Mate to filter Growth and analytics roles by employers with verified EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history. Companies that have run PERM for similar roles before are significantly more likely to do so again, and you can confirm filing patterns through DOL's public disclosure data before you invest time in an application process.
What happens to my green card application if I change Growth roles during PERM?
If you switch employers before PERM is certified, the process restarts from the beginning with the new employer. If the I-140 is already approved and your priority date is more than 180 days old, portability rules under AC21 may allow you to transfer the approved petition to a new job in the same or a similar occupational classification, preserving your place in the queue.
