IT Manager Green Card Jobs
IT Manager roles at U.S. companies regularly qualify for employment-based green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, supporting either EB-2 for advanced-degree professionals or EB-3 for skilled workers. Employers file the PERM application with DOL before petitioning USCIS, putting you on a path to permanent residency.

INTRODUCTION
AI is moving fast at Cirrus Logic — across IT, Engineering, PMO, and beyond. This role sits at the center of that momentum, with the opportunity to shape how we adopt AI thoughtfully, build the skills of our people, and ensure IT is a strategic partner in the company's AI journey.
We're looking for an experienced manager to lead AI program strategy and execution within the Information Technology organization. In this role, you'll own the IT AI roadmap, drive adoption across the company, and serve as the primary connector between IT and the many teams across Cirrus Logic exploring and building with AI.
This is a high-visibility, cross-functional leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable setting strategy, rolling up their sleeves to design solutions and building trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level. You'll bring structure and momentum to a fast-moving space while keeping people informed, enabled, and aligned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Oversight
- Own and manage the IT AI program portfolio, including tracking initiatives, dependencies, risks, and outcomes
- Define and maintain the IT AI roadmap in alignment with broader company strategy and priorities
- Establish governance practices, intake processes, and decision frameworks for AI initiatives within IT
- Monitor AI tool usage, adoption metrics, and ROI to inform investment decisions and program direction
- Follow industry trends in AI innovation and advanced use cases and incorporate new innovations into our AI initiatives.
User Enablement & Training
- Collaborate with Learning and Development team to design and deliver AI training programs for employees at all levels — from AI 101 to role-specific, advanced use case workshops
- Develop scalable enablement materials, playbooks, and best practices that help employees get real value from AI tools
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating AI tools, helping them identify the right approach for their needs
- Champion responsible AI use in alignment with Cirrus Logic's AI Technology Usage Policy
AI Initiative Leadership
- Lead IT-owned AI initiatives from concept through delivery, coordinating resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
- Partner with IT leadership to identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities across IT functions and in support of business strategy and objectives
- Evaluate new AI tools and platforms, leading proof-of-concept efforts and translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Ensure AI initiatives are well-scoped, properly resourced, and deliver measurable outcomes
- Manage resources within IT and cross-functionally to execute on the strategy and objectives. Long term opportunity to build and develop a team of AI professionals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as IT's primary liaison to AI initiatives happening across the organization — including Engineering, PMO, HR, and other business functions
- Facilitate regular communication and coordination across teams to reduce duplication, share learnings, and align on shared infrastructure or tooling
- Represent IT in company-wide AI working groups, steering committees, and leadership forums
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their AI needs and connect them with the right IT resources or solutions
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- 7+ years of experience in IT, program management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role
- Demonstrated experience managing technology programs or initiatives, ideally in an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, enterprise AI tools, and the practical realities of AI adoption at scale
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective training and enablement programs for diverse audiences
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa
- Experience working cross-functionally across IT, Engineering, and business teams
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity in a fast-moving space
PREFERRED:
- Experience with enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Glean, Claude Cowork, OpenAI, or similar)
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, cybersecurity and data privacy considerations

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an IT Manager
Align your credentials to EB-2 requirements
If you hold a master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, document it carefully before applying. EB-2 classification requires proof that your role demands an advanced degree, so gather transcripts, diplomas, and any degree equivalency evaluations early.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search PERM disclosure data through the OFLC Wage Search to identify which companies have filed labor certifications for IT Manager roles. This shows real sponsorship intent, not just a checkbox on a job posting that never materializes.
Find green card sponsoring IT Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Filter directly for IT Manager positions at employers with green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This cuts out postings from companies that lack PERM experience and connects you with employers who already understand the filing process.
Confirm the prevailing wage tier before negotiating
Your employer sets your PERM-certified wage against the DOL prevailing wage for your geographic area. Look up the Level I through Level IV wage for the IT Manager SOC code using OFLC Wage Search so your offer clears the threshold before the labor certification is filed.
Ask about concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing eligibility
If a visa number is immediately available for your country and preference category, your employer can file the I-140 immigrant petition and your I-485 adjustment of status application at the same time, shortening your wait for work authorization significantly.
Prepare an O*NET-aligned job duties summary
PERM requires your employer to document that your IT Manager duties match the certified position. Review the O*NET occupation profile for IT Managers and ensure your resume and employer's job description reflect the same core tasks USCIS and DOL will evaluate.

Find IT Manager JobsIT Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an IT Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
IT Manager roles commonly qualify under both categories. EB-2 applies when the position genuinely requires a master's degree or its equivalent in a field like computer science or information systems. EB-3 covers the role as a skilled worker when a bachelor's degree and several years of experience satisfy the requirements. Your employer's PERM application specifies the minimum requirements, so the job description must match what you actually hold.
How is the green card process different from H-1B sponsorship for IT Managers?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 65,000 slots annually, subject to a lottery. Employment-based green cards through PERM lead to permanent residency and carry no annual lottery. The process is longer, typically two to four years depending on your country of birth and priority date, but the outcome is permanent authorization to live and work in the United States without renewals or employer dependency after approval.
How do I find IT Manager jobs where the employer is genuinely willing to sponsor a green card?
Use Migrate Mate to filter IT Manager postings by employers with verified green card sponsorship history. Many job postings mention sponsorship loosely without any PERM filing track record behind them. Searching through a platform that surfaces employer-level sponsorship data saves you from investing interview time with companies that have never filed a PERM application.
What role does the PERM labor certification play in sponsoring an IT Manager?
PERM is the DOL-administered process your employer must complete before filing the I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. It requires the employer to prove no qualified U.S. worker was available for the position at the prevailing wage. For IT Manager roles, this includes documented recruitment steps such as job postings and interviews. USCIS will not approve the I-140 without an approved PERM certification unless your category qualifies for an exemption.
Can I change IT Manager jobs while my green card is pending?
Yes, once your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days and your I-140 is approved, portability rules allow you to move to a same or similar IT Manager role at a new employer without losing your priority date. The new role must fall under the same occupational classification, so document the overlap in duties carefully before accepting a new position.
