Logistics Green Card Jobs
Logistics roles in supply chain coordination, freight management, and operations planning qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. Employers file on your behalf, certifying no qualified U.S. workers are available. Advanced-degree professionals typically pursue EB-2; skilled coordinators and analysts commonly qualify under EB-3.

Match your credentials to the right EB tier
EB-2 requires a master's degree or a bachelor's plus five years of progressive logistics experience. EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's or two years of training. Confirm which tier your offered position supports before your employer starts the PERM process.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Use the OFLC Wage Search to filter certified PERM applications by SOC code for logistics occupations. Employers who have filed previously understand the process, reducing delays caused by inexperienced HR teams encountering PERM requirements for the first time.
Verify your job title matches the PERM wage classification
Logistics roles span multiple SOC codes, and misclassification causes PERM denials. Cross-reference your actual duties against O*NET occupation profiles to confirm the DOL wage level your employer selects accurately reflects your responsibilities and experience.
Search green card sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Filter logistics job listings by employers with verified green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This saves time by surfacing roles where PERM-based sponsorship is already established practice, not a request you need to introduce during negotiations.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before accepting an offer
Confirm in writing whether your employer covers PERM recruitment costs, attorney fees, and I-140 filing fees. DOL prohibits charging employees for PERM expenses, but reimbursement obligations if you resign early are negotiable and vary significantly across logistics employers.
Track your priority date against the Visa Bulletin
Once USCIS approves your I-140, your priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status. Most countries face no significant backlog at the EB-3 level, but nationals of China and India should monitor the monthly Visa Bulletin closely.

Find Logistics JobsLogistics Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do logistics roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most logistics coordinator, analyst, and operations roles qualify under EB-3, which covers professionals with a bachelor's degree or skilled workers with at least two years of training. Supply chain managers and roles requiring a master's degree or equivalent progressive experience may qualify under EB-2. Your employer's attorney will confirm the correct classification during the PERM filing.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for logistics professionals?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status requiring annual renewal, subject to a 65,000-slot annual cap and a lottery for most applicants. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the petition level and results in permanent residency. The PERM process takes longer, often 18 to 36 months from labor certification through I-485 approval, but the outcome is a green card rather than a renewable temporary status.
What does the PERM recruitment process mean for logistics job seekers?
Before filing a PERM application, your employer must conduct a formal recruitment campaign to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. This includes job postings, newspaper advertisements, and internal notices. The job description in those postings defines the PERM case, so your actual duties must match what was advertised. Discrepancies between the posted role and your day-to-day work can jeopardize the application.
Where can I find logistics employers that sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search logistics job listings filtered by employers with verified PERM and employment-based green card sponsorship history. Searching this way means you're targeting companies where sponsorship is already part of their hiring practice, rather than cold-pitching the idea to employers unfamiliar with the PERM process.
Can I change employers after my I-140 is approved but before my green card is issued?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, you can change to a same or similar occupational classification after your I-140 has been approved and your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days. For logistics professionals, this means moving between supply chain, operations, or transportation management roles is generally permissible. USCIS evaluates portability based on SOC codes and job duties, not job titles.
