Master Data Management Green Card Jobs
Master Data Management roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to test the U.S. labor market before filing your I-140 petition. Data governance and MDM architects with advanced degrees typically target EB-2, while analysts and specialists often proceed under EB-3.

The Opportunity
The position sits within the Data & Analytics (D&A) organization supporting MetLife’s U.S. Business. MetLife is seeking an experienced Leader to provide strategic leadership and operational ownership for enterprise Master Data Management (MDM).
This role is accountable for the stability, accuracy, and integrity of Global Party Management (GPM), MetLife’s enterprise MDM platform serving all MetLife products, while shaping and governing Azure cloud data engineering and Databricks enablement for enterprise data assets. The Leader partners with architecture and platform teams to ensure secure‑by‑design, scalable integration patterns and sustainable operational performance across MDM and product‑aligned data platforms.
The role balances run‑the‑business excellence with modernization readiness, partnering closely with enterprise transformation initiatives to influence future‑state architecture and capabilities. This is a leadership position with strong technical expectations; while not an individual contributor, the Leader brings deep working knowledge of MDM, data engineering, cloud data platforms, and Databricks‑based processing to enable informed decision‑making, architectural oversight, and credibility with senior engineers and architects.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise MDM Platform Leadership (GPM)
- Provide end‑to‑end leadership and accountability for Global Party Management (GPM), MetLife’s enterprise MDM platform supporting all lines of business.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, performance, and data integrity for mission‑critical business and regulatory processes.
- Establish and enforce operational rigor, including SLAs, incident management, root‑cause analysis, and resiliency standards.
- Own technology currency and upgrade strategy, including Informatica 10.5 readiness and forward roadmap, in partnership with vendors and enterprise technology teams.
Master Data Engineering & Identity Resolution Leadership
- Set strategic direction and provide oversight for mastering logic, including match, merge, survivorship, identity resolution, and hierarchy management.
- Ensure leadership teams maintain deep understanding of end‑to‑end data flows spanning: Source systems of record (SORs), Third‑party data providers, Ingestion pipelines, MDM mastering layers, APIs and cloud‑based analytical consumers.
- Drive initiatives to reduce external mastering dependencies through adoption of native MDM and AI‑assisted match & merge capabilities.
- Ensure mastering decisions are consistent, explainable, and aligned with business, risk, and compliance requirements.
Data Governance, Quality & Compliance
- Partner with governance and stewardship teams to ensure data quality controls are embedded upstream and enforced consistently.
- Define and track data quality, accuracy, and confidence metrics across mastered and analytical datasets.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across MDM data platforms.
- Support audit readiness through clear lineage, documentation, and control frameworks.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and develop cross‑functional teams, including managers and senior technologists across MDM, data engineering, and data quality.
- Serve as a trusted data and technology leader for business, technology, and architecture stakeholders.
- Communicate complex data and platform topics in clear, executive‑ready language.
- Foster a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data and analytics, with leadership responsibility for complex data platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading MDM, data engineering, and data quality teams.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Informatica MDM and platform upgrade strategy
- Master data concepts including match & merge, survivorship, and identity resolution
- Azure cloud data platforms and Databricks‑based data processing
- Proven ability to lead high‑availability, production‑grade platforms.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in regulated financial services environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large‑scale MDM or data platform modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with Informatica or similar Cloud MDM and native AI/ML‑enabled match and merge capabilities.
- Working knowledge of enterprise analytics and reporting platforms, including the creation and maintenance of standard and ad‑hoc reporting solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience operating within modern data ecosystems, including Hadoop‑based platforms, and cloud‑native data processing frameworks.
- Experience leading or governing data platforms built on Microsoft Azure, including Databricks‑based data engineering and analytics environments, within large, regulated enterprises.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant consumer data regulations.
- Insurance, retirement, or financial services domain experience.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $142,100 - $212,750. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation and stock‑based long‑term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Master Data Management
Document your MDM specialization before applying
Gather evidence that your work requires a specific bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. PERM audits often challenge MDM roles on specialty occupation grounds, so job descriptions and your transcripts must align precisely.
Check prevailing wages using OFLC Wage Search
Look up your target job title and metro area in OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer. Your employer's PERM application must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing rate, and a mismatch at the offer stage delays the entire green card timeline.
Target employers with active PERM filing histories
Search for MDM roles at companies that regularly sponsor foreign workers through PERM. Enterprises running large ERP or data warehouse programs tend to have established immigration programs and in-house counsel already familiar with the labor certification steps for technical roles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter green card sponsoring employers
Filter MDM job listings by employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This narrows your search to companies that have completed PERM filings for similar data management roles, cutting out employers unlikely to start the process.
Negotiate job title precision before PERM begins
Ask your employer to define your title and duties narrowly in the job description before filing. A title like 'Master Data Management Analyst' maps more cleanly to O*NET codes than a generic 'Data Analyst' role, strengthening the specialty occupation argument USCIS will evaluate during I-140 review.
Understand priority dates before choosing EB-2 or EB-3
If you were born in India or China, your priority date determines when USCIS can approve your adjustment of status. EB-2 backlogs for those countries extend years longer than EB-3, so your employer's choice of classification directly affects how long you wait for permanent residency.

Find Master Data Management JobsMaster Data Management Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Master Data Management roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories apply depending on the role level and your credentials. Senior MDM architects and data governance managers with advanced degrees or progressive specialized experience typically qualify for EB-2. Analysts and junior specialists with a bachelor's degree usually proceed under EB-3 as skilled workers. Your employer's legal team determines the appropriate classification based on the actual job duties and your educational background.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for MDM professionals?
H-1B is a temporary work visa with a three-year initial period and an annual lottery for most applicants. PERM sponsorship leads to permanent residency and has no annual cap at the petition level, though priority date backlogs can delay the final green card for applicants from India and China. The PERM process also requires DOL labor market testing before USCIS reviews your I-140, making the employer's role more demanding than the H-1B filing process.
How long does the PERM process take for a Master Data Management role?
The full timeline from PERM filing to an approved I-140 typically runs 18 to 30 months or longer for most applicants, not counting priority date wait times. DOL currently processes standard PERM applications in the range of several months to over a year depending on audit activity. After PERM certification, your employer files the I-140 petition with USCIS, which adds additional processing time before you can file for adjustment of status.
What makes an MDM job description strong enough for PERM labor certification?
DOL auditors look for job requirements that genuinely demand a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. For MDM roles, duties tied to data governance frameworks, metadata management, or master data architecture in enterprise systems support a specialty occupation argument better than general database administration tasks. Your employer should use O*NET to map the role accurately and ensure the minimum requirements listed in the job description match your actual credentials.
Where can I find Master Data Management employers who sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search MDM job listings filtered by employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you can focus on companies already familiar with the PERM process for technical roles. Beyond targeted job searches, large enterprises in financial services, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing frequently sponsor MDM professionals because clean master data is central to their compliance and operational systems.
