Green Card Network Administrator Jobs
Network Administrator roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when employers file a PERM labor certification confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available. Employers in managed services, healthcare IT, and enterprise environments regularly sponsor this role, making it a strong candidate for permanent residency rather than a temporary visa.

Document your certifications before applying
PERM requires your employer to show your qualifications match the posted job requirements exactly. Compile current certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft credentials before you start interviewing so sponsors can build the labor certification around documented credentials.
Target managed services and healthcare IT employers
Managed service providers and hospital networks maintain large, distributed infrastructure and sponsor Network Administrators regularly through EB-3. These sectors file PERM applications more frequently than small businesses, which rarely absorb the legal costs of permanent sponsorship.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Network Administrator roles and confirmed green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. This surfaces employers who have already run PERM processes for this title, cutting out the guesswork of cold-approaching companies that may be unfamiliar with employment-based sponsorship.
Verify employer E-Verify enrollment before accepting offers
Most employers who sponsor green cards are E-Verify enrolled, which signals familiarity with federal hiring compliance. If a prospective sponsor isn't enrolled, their HR team may lack the infrastructure to manage a multi-year PERM and I-140 process without significant friction.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 path during salary negotiations
If you hold a four-year degree and meet the DOL prevailing wage for Level II or higher, ask whether the employer will file under EB-2 or EB-3. EB-2 processing can be faster for nationals of countries without severe backlog, which affects your timeline to permanent residency.
Check prevailing wages using OFLC Wage Search before negotiating
Your offered salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for Network Administrator in your work location or USCIS can deny the I-140. Run the OFLC Wage Search for SOC code 15-1244 before salary discussions so you understand the minimum the employer must offer to file successfully.
Green Card Network Administrator: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Network Administrator role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Network Administrator positions typically qualify under EB-3 when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. EB-2 applies if the employer documents that the role requires an advanced degree or you have a bachelor's plus five years of progressive experience that justifies the advanced-degree equivalency. Your employer's attorney determines which category fits the specific job requirements.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Network Administrators?
H-1B visa is a temporary work visa with an annual lottery cap and a typical six-year limit. Employment-based green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency with no annual lottery and no expiration on your authorization once approved. The tradeoff is time: PERM and I-140 adjudication can take one to three years before you even reach the visa queue, though nationals of most countries outside India and China face no meaningful backlog at the EB-3 level.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a Network Administrator position?
Your employer must advertise the Network Administrator position through DOL-mandated recruitment steps, including job postings, newspaper ads, and internal notices, to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. The job description in the PERM application must match the role you'll actually perform, and your credentials must satisfy the stated requirements. DOL audits are common for IT roles, so documentation quality matters significantly.
How can I find Network Administrator jobs where employers are already open to green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Network Administrator roles posted by employers with a documented green card sponsorship history. Targeting employers who have filed PERM applications for this title before is more efficient than applying broadly and asking HR departments to explain a process they may have never run. Employers already familiar with PERM move faster and make fewer errors that cause delays.
Can I switch Network Administrator jobs after my PERM is filed without losing my place in the process?
Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current or within 180 days of becoming current, portability rules under AC21 allow you to change employers and preserve your priority date as long as the new role is in the same or similar occupational classification. Network Administrator to senior network engineer or systems administrator roles typically qualify. Changing jobs before I-140 approval restarts the PERM process entirely.
