Position Summary
Jonathan's Landing Golf Club is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our Culinary team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional desserts and baked goods that elevate the member dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a wide variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, custards, icings, fillings, frozen desserts, and fruit-based creations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to review daily menus and upcoming events to ensure timely and efficient production
- Assist in the preparation and scheduling of breads, rolls, muffins, and other baked goods to maintain freshness and availability
- Develop new and innovative dessert offerings that enhance the Club's dining experience
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to maintain proper stock
- Ensure proper use and care of all kitchen and baking equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pastry station in accordance with sanitation standards
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional member service
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or Certified Executive Pastry Chef (CEPC) designation preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a high-end restaurant, private club, or luxury hotel environment
- Proven ability to execute both à la carte service and high-volume banquet production
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen operations
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
