Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Physician Relations
Translate your credentials before applying
If your medical liaison or healthcare administration degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized agency before you start applying. PERM requires your education to meet the minimum requirements the employer defines for the role.
Target health systems with PERM filing history
Large hospital networks and integrated delivery systems file PERM more regularly than independent physician groups. Search DOL's public disclosure data to identify which employers have sponsored Physician Relations titles, then prioritize those in your outreach.
Use Migrate Mate to filter by sponsorship history
Search Physician Relations roles on Migrate Mate to surface employers with documented green card filing activity. Focusing your applications on those employers avoids wasting time on organizations that have never navigated PERM for this job category.
Clarify specialty occupation framing at offer stage
Physician Relations does not always carry an obvious degree-specific requirement, which matters for EB-2 eligibility. Before accepting an offer, confirm your employer's job description specifies a bachelor's degree in a directly related field so the PERM application won't face a DOL audit.
Ask about concurrent filing eligibility upfront
Once an employer files your I-140, you may be able to file I-485 adjustment of status concurrently if a visa number is immediately available for your country. For EB-3 applicants from most countries, this can significantly shorten the overall green card timeline.
Verify your prevailing wage category early
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your Physician Relations role before PERM is filed. Run the O*NET occupation code against the OFLC Wage Search tool to confirm the wage level the employer will need to certify, and make sure your offer meets it.

Find Physician Relations JobsPhysician Relations Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Physician Relations roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories are available depending on the role's defined requirements. EB-2 applies when the employer specifies an advanced degree as a minimum requirement for the position. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related field. Most Physician Relations job descriptions align with EB-3, though senior liaison roles with management or strategic components may support an EB-2 filing.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa capped at 85,000 annually and subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship is not subject to an annual lottery and leads to permanent residency rather than a time-limited status. The PERM process requires the employer to conduct a formal DOL-supervised recruitment to confirm no qualified U.S. workers are available, which adds four to eight months before the I-140 petition is filed.
How can I find Physician Relations employers that actively sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search Physician Relations roles filtered by employers with documented PERM and I-140 filing history, so you spend time only on organizations already familiar with employment-based sponsorship. Targeting those employers reduces the risk of an employer declining to sponsor because the process is unfamiliar to their HR or legal team.
What documents should I prepare before a Physician Relations employer starts the PERM process?
Your employer's immigration attorney will typically need official transcripts, a credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S., your resume documenting all relevant experience, and a copy of any prior visa approvals. Having these ready before PERM recruitment begins prevents delays, since DOL processing can start within weeks of the recruitment closing.
Can I change jobs while my Physician Relations green card is pending?
Once your I-140 is approved and your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days, portability rules under AC21 allow you to move to a same or similar role without restarting the green card process. USCIS evaluates whether the new Physician Relations or healthcare liaison role is substantially similar in duties and required qualifications to the sponsored position.
