Green Card Senior Delivery Manager Jobs
Senior Delivery Manager roles qualify for employment-based green card sponsorship under EB-2 or EB-3, depending on your degree level and credentials. Employers file a PERM labor certification with the DOL before petitioning USCIS, a process that leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status tied to visa renewals.

Document your cross-functional delivery scope
PERM requires your employer to advertise a specific role, so your job duties must be clearly defined. Compile evidence of enterprise-scale programs you've managed, budget authority, and team size to support the specialty occupation framing in your I-140 petition.
Target employers with established PERM pipelines
Companies that have sponsored PERM cases in the past already have immigration counsel and internal approval processes. Use Migrate Mate to search for Senior Delivery Manager roles at employers with active green card sponsorship history, cutting months off your search.
Align your degree field to the posted role
USCIS scrutinizes whether your degree field directly relates to the job duties. A Master's in Project Management, Computer Science, or Business supports EB-2 classification more cleanly than an unrelated field, even with extensive delivery experience.
Ask about PERM timing before accepting an offer
Employers can start PERM recruitment only after you join, but the advertising window, DOL audit risk, and I-140 adjudication can span two to three years. Confirm whether your prospective employer commits to initiating PERM within your first year.
Check your country's EB-3 priority date backlog
For most nationalities, EB-3 priority dates are current and green card issuance follows I-140 approval quickly. If you're from India or China, the backlog runs decades, so discuss EB-2 eligibility and concurrent filing options with your employer's immigration attorney.
Use O*NET to validate your specialty occupation case
The O*NET occupation profile for delivery and program management roles specifies typical education requirements. Referencing these benchmarks in your PERM documentation strengthens the argument that a bachelor's degree or higher is standard for the position, not merely preferred.
Green Card Senior Delivery Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Delivery Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Senior Delivery Manager positions typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers when they require a bachelor's degree, and under EB-2 when the role requires an advanced degree or you can demonstrate an advanced degree equivalent through a combination of education and progressive experience. Your employer's immigration attorney will assess which category fits your specific offer letter and job duties before filing the PERM labor certification.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B visa sponsorship grants temporary status in two or three year increments and is subject to annual lottery selection at the cap. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no lottery, no annual numerical cap at the EB-3 level for most nationalities, and leads to permanent residency. The tradeoff is time: the PERM recruitment and DOL review process alone can take six to eighteen months before USCIS even sees your I-140 petition.
How do I find employers who will sponsor a green card for a Senior Delivery Manager?
Search Migrate Mate to identify Senior Delivery Manager openings at companies with documented green card sponsorship activity. Not every job posting flags sponsorship willingness, so prioritizing employers with a track record of PERM filings in program and delivery management functions saves time and avoids offers that stall at the immigration approval stage.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm on an H-1B?
Yes. Employers can file a PERM labor certification while you're working in H-1B status, and doing so early is strategically important. If your I-140 is approved and your priority date becomes current, you can adjust status to permanent resident without leaving H-1B status. USCIS allows concurrent adjustment of status filing once an immigrant visa number is available.
What documentation should I prepare before my employer starts PERM?
Gather your academic credentials, including official transcripts and degree certificates, and have a credential evaluation completed if your degree is from outside the U.S. Compile employment verification letters that detail your job titles, dates, and specific duties in delivery or program management. These records support both the PERM audit file and the I-140 petition that follows DOL certification.
