Green Card Solution Manager Jobs
Solution Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Employers file a PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring your I-140 petition, making this a permanent residency pathway rather than a temporary visa arrangement.

Document your degree's field alignment
PERM requires your degree to relate specifically to the Solution Manager role. Gather transcripts, course descriptions, and any credential evaluation letters now so your employer's attorney can confirm the field match before filing begins.
Target employers with existing PERM infrastructure
Companies that have filed PERM applications before already have immigration counsel and internal processes in place. Search the DOL OFLC disclosure database to identify employers who have sponsored similar solution management or consulting roles.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility early
If your Solution Manager role requires an advanced degree or you hold one, EB-2 may shorten your wait time for certain nationalities. Raise this distinction with the sponsoring employer before the PERM job description is drafted.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Rather than guessing which companies sponsor, use Migrate Mate to search Solution Manager jobs filtered by green card sponsorship history, so you're only applying to employers who have actively navigated the PERM and I-140 process.
Negotiate filing timeline into your offer stage
PERM filings can take 12 to 18 months for DOL processing before USCIS even sees your I-140. Ask prospective employers when they plan to initiate PERM after your start date so you can plan your status continuity accordingly.
Verify the prevailing wage tier before accepting
PERM locks your employer into paying at least the DOL prevailing wage for your location and role level. Cross-reference the OFLC Wage Search using your actual job duties and worksite ZIP code to confirm the wage tier before your offer letter is finalized.
Green Card Solution Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Solution Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Solution Manager positions typically qualify for EB-3 professional sponsorship when they require at least a bachelor's degree. If the role requires an advanced degree, or you hold one and the employer agrees to structure the position accordingly, EB-2 classification may apply. The distinction matters significantly for nationals from countries with long EB-3 backlogs, such as India or China.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a Solution Manager?
H-1B visa is a temporary, cap-subject status requiring annual renewal and tied to lottery selection. Green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 is a permanent residency pathway with no annual cap at the EB-3 professional level for most nationalities. The process is longer, typically three to five years from PERM filing to approval, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than a visa that must be renewed.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for Solution Manager roles?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. The job description filed with DOL must accurately reflect your actual duties and the minimum degree requirements. Any mismatch between your credentials and the stated requirements can result in a denial or audit, so the job description drafting stage is critical.
How can I find Solution Manager jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Most job postings don't advertise green card sponsorship explicitly, which makes targeting the right employers difficult. Migrate Mate lets you search Solution Manager roles filtered by employers with documented PERM and I-140 filing history, so you can focus your applications on companies that have already committed to sponsoring foreign professionals through the full green card process.
Can I change employers after my I-140 is approved as a Solution Manager?
Under AC21 portability rules, you may change employers after your I-140 has been approved and your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days or more, provided the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. For Solution Managers, this generally means staying within business operations, IT management, or consulting functions rather than switching to an unrelated field.
