Green Card Supply Chain Planner Jobs
Supply Chain Planner roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which permanently ties your U.S. residency to your employer rather than a temporary visa. Employers file the LCA and I-140 on your behalf, making direct sponsorship offers the clearest path to a green card in this field.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Supply Chain Planner
Document your supply chain credentials early
Gather degree transcripts, professional certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP, and letters confirming your planning experience before applying. PERM requires precise credential verification, and gaps in documentation can delay your labor certification filing.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have sponsored Supply Chain Planner roles under EB-2 or EB-3 before. Prior PERM filings in your job category signal that an employer already has the HR infrastructure and legal counsel to sponsor you.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter your job search by green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate to surface Supply Chain Planner openings at companies actively filing PERM applications, saving you the manual work of cross-referencing OFLC disclosure data yourself.
Confirm the offered role matches your SOC code
PERM ties sponsorship to a specific job title and duties. Ask hiring managers whether the Supply Chain Planner role uses SOC code 13-1081 or 13-1082, and verify that your degree field aligns with what DOL will accept under the minimum requirements.
Negotiate a firm sponsorship commitment before signing
Request a written employer statement confirming they will file PERM and I-140 within an agreed timeframe. Verbal assurances are common, but without a written commitment you risk delays if the sponsoring manager or company policy changes after you join.
Understand EB-3 priority date backlogs before accepting
Check the USCIS Visa Bulletin for your country of birth before accepting an offer under EB-3. Professionals born in India or China may face multi-year waits even after I-140 approval, which affects how quickly you can change roles without losing your place.
Green Card Supply Chain Planner: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Supply Chain Planner roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Supply Chain Planner positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Roles requiring a master's degree or demonstrating advanced analytical specialization may qualify for EB-2. The classification depends on the employer's stated minimum requirements in the PERM application, not on your actual qualifications alone.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B visa is temporary, capped at 85,000 annually, and subject to a lottery. PERM-based EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship has no annual filing cap, leads to permanent residency, and starts a priority date that locks in your place in the visa queue. The trade-off is timeline: PERM and I-140 together typically take one to three years before adjustment of status can proceed.
What does the PERM process require from a Supply Chain Planner candidate?
Your employer runs a DOL-supervised recruitment process to show no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. You need to meet the minimum qualifications stated in the job posting, which DOL reviews strictly. Supply chain credentials like APICS certifications can be listed as preferred but generally cannot be required unless the employer can justify the business necessity.
How can I find Supply Chain Planner jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't advertise PERM sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate lets you filter Supply Chain Planner openings by employers with documented green card sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on companies that have already navigated PERM for similar roles rather than hoping each employer is willing to sponsor.
Can I change jobs after my employer starts the green card process?
You can change employers after your I-140 is approved and your priority date is more than 180 days old, under AC21 portability rules. The new role must be in the same or similar occupational classification. For Supply Chain Planners, a move to a closely related planning or procurement role generally qualifies, but you should get legal review before switching.
