Green Card Wellness Manager Jobs
Wellness Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in health promotion, public health, or a related field. Employers file PERM labor certification with the DOL before sponsoring permanent residency, making sponsorship a multi-step process that leads to a green card rather than a temporary visa.

Frame your credentials for PERM requirements
Your degree field matters more than your job title. PERM requires the employer to document that your health promotion, kinesiology, or public health degree is the standard entry requirement for the role, not just preferred.
Target employers with wellness program infrastructure
Hospitals, large self-insured corporations, and university health systems run structured wellness programs with HR and legal capacity to sponsor PERM. Standalone wellness startups rarely have the infrastructure to complete a multi-year green card process.
Verify prevailing wage before accepting an offer
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for Wellness Manager roles in your target city. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the certified wage level, or the PERM application will be rejected by DOL.
Search green card sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Filter Migrate Mate for Wellness Manager roles from employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 filing history. This surfaces companies already familiar with the PERM process, cutting the time you spend educating employers who have never sponsored before.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before your offer negotiation
If your role requires a master's degree in public health or a related field, push for EB-2 classification. EB-2 can reduce your wait time in oversubscribed countries and opens the door to a National Interest Waiver self-petition if the employer relationship ends.
Confirm the employer will cover PERM recruitment costs
PERM requires the employer to run DOL-mandated recruitment steps before filing. Ask during the offer stage whether the company uses in-house immigration counsel or outside legal help, and confirm their PERM process timeline so you can plan your status accordingly.
Green Card Wellness Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Wellness Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both classifications are possible depending on the employer's stated requirements. If the position requires a master's degree in public health, health promotion, or a related field, EB-2 applies. If a bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, the role qualifies under EB-3. The degree requirement in the actual job description, not your credentials alone, determines which category USCIS accepts.
How is green card sponsorship different from H-1B sponsorship for a Wellness Manager?
H-1B visa is a temporary work visa with an annual lottery cap and a fixed duration. PERM-based green card sponsorship is a permanent immigration process with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries. The process takes longer, typically two to four years from PERM filing to approval, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than a visa that must be renewed or reapplied for.
What does the PERM labor certification process look like for a Wellness Manager employer?
The employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment campaign to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. This includes posting the position through specific channels and documenting results. Once DOL certifies the application, the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Only after I-140 approval can you apply for adjustment of status or an immigrant visa.
Where can I find Wellness Manager jobs where the employer already sponsors green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically for employers with EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history in wellness and health management roles. Searching this way helps you avoid applying to employers who are unfamiliar with PERM, which is one of the most common reasons green card sponsorship stalls or falls through entirely.
Can I use O*NET data to strengthen my Wellness Manager green card application?
Yes. The O*NET occupation profile for Wellness Managers documents the standard education, skills, and knowledge requirements for the role. Employers and their attorneys reference O*NET when drafting PERM job descriptions to ensure the stated requirements align with what DOL expects. If your background matches the O*NET profile closely, it supports the employer's case that the position genuinely requires your qualifications.
