Job Summary:
Provides a high level of focus on guest satisfaction through building guest relations and being attentive to guest needs. Responsible for identifying latent demand and defining the strategy to solicit and capture market dominance. Group Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales & Catering, Group Rooms Coordinator, clients and event planners to ensure the success of their event, and follow up with the client to get feedback after the event itself.

Responsibilities:
- Prospects new businesses by identifying latest demand, defines strategies to solicit, and capture market dominance.
- Participates at industry events trade shows and/or partners with local attractions to drive incremental revenue.
- Exceeds forecasted room night, convention, and F&B revenue goals.
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of guest and market needs.
- Works closely with the Director of Sales & Catering, Group Rooms Coordinator, clients, event and wedding planners and vendors to generate room nights, maximize room revenue and convention and F&B revenues.
- Uses all sales avenues including telemarketing and networking to capture additional segments.
- Effectively negotiates group rates including convention space and menu prices within the established / approved guidelines.
- Evaluates events to facilitate guest and client feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Reviews the monthly financial statements for accuracy, and sales performance.
- Takes personal responsibility for delivering excellent guest experience.
- Details events and group business as needed and is onsite for event to ensure success.
- Obtains payments and manages BEO’s and Banquet Checks as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge in PMS (Property Management Systems) is preferred.
- Must have knowledge of detailing events and creation of BEO’s and Banquet checks.
- Strong interpersonal, motivational and leadership qualities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to successfully communicate with multiple levels of management.
- A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
- All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
