Group Product Manager Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a group product manager in Utah?
Group product managers in Utah do not need a state-issued license or certification, so the path runs through experience and demonstrated leadership rather than a licensing board. Most Utah employers expect candidates to have worked as a senior product manager first, built a portfolio of shipped products with measurable outcomes, and led at least a small product team. Pursuing a Certified Product Manager credential through the Association of International Product Professionals can strengthen an application, and Utah's Silicon Slopes tech community hosts regular PM networking events that open doors.
How much do group product managers make in Utah?
Group product managers in Utah earn a median of about $139,830 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,400 for the lowest 10% to over $229,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire group product managers in Utah?
Companies currently hiring group product managers in Utah include University of Utah, eBay, and GE HealthCare, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's concentrated tech ecosystem along the Wasatch Front means many of these employers are scaling SaaS or enterprise platforms and need experienced group PMs to align multiple product teams around shared roadmaps.
Which Utah cities have the most group product manager jobs?
The cities with the most group product manager openings in Utah are Salt Lake City, Draper, and Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market as the state's largest metro, Lehi and Provo concentrate openings because of the density of SaaS and edtech companies headquartered in Silicon Slopes, and any smaller or suburban cities on the list typically reflect a single large employer's campus rather than a broader local market.
Are there remote group product manager jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. Group product manager work is largely desk-based and cross-functional, making it well suited to distributed teams. About 33% of group product manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how common flexible arrangements are in the tech sector. Strategic planning, roadmap reviews, and stakeholder alignment are the responsibilities most commonly handled fully remotely, while team rituals and executive presentations often retain an in-person or hybrid cadence.
How can I get hired as a group product manager in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is to first establish yourself as a strong individual-contributor product manager at one of Utah's mid-size SaaS companies before targeting a group PM role. Employers such as Adobe, Qualtrics, and Overstock run internal rotational or associate PM programs where strong performers can move into leadership. Lateral moves from engineering management, program management, or product operations are also well-regarded entry points. Building a portfolio that documents cross-functional influence, even without a direct reporting team, and earning a product management certificate from a recognized program improves your candidacy considerably.
Where can I find and apply to group product manager jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to group product manager jobs in Utah right here on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your experience and preferred location or work arrangement, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
