Business Development Manager | UNITS of Utah
UNITS of Utah is the highest-rated portable storage company in the state. We deliver and pick up storage containers for restoration contractors, builders, property managers and homeowners across the Wasatch Front. We're a small, owner-run team and we're hiring one person to grow our commercial business.
This is a sales job. You'll spend most of every day in front of restoration project managers, contractors and property managers, on the phone and in the field, bringing on new accounts and keeping the ones we have happy.
But we're small, so you'll also have additional responsibilities like driving our delivery trucks when needed. You'll learn to deliver and set containers with our truck and delivery system in your first month.

What you'll do
- Prospect and close new commercial accounts: restoration companies, GCs, property managers, moving companies
- Keep every active account warm with regular visits, drop-bys and follow-up
- Track everything in our CRM, daily
- Deliver and pick up containers when we need an extra driver (CDL not required; we'll train you)
- Cover the office phone a few weeks a year when our office manager is out
- Eventually help hire and train additional drivers
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of B2B or outside sales where you had to find your own leads
- Comfortable driving a medium-duty truck and working outside in Utah weather
- Clean driving record
- Organized enough to keep a CRM honest without being asked
- Able to work without being babysat
- Bonus: experience in restoration, construction, equipment rental or portable storage
Pay
- Base salary + Commission (depending on experience)
- 2 weeks PTO
- Realistic first-year total compensation $60K–$70K. $70K+ thereafter depending on performance.
- Clear path to grow into a larger role once you have grown the commercial side of the business.
Monday–Friday, based out of our warehouse in North Salt Lake, with some work from home. Occasional Saturday deliveries.
