Strategy Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy in Utah?
Most strategy roles in Utah require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field as a baseline, with a significant share of senior positions preferring an MBA. Utah does not issue a state license for strategy professionals, so hiring is credential- and experience-driven. Completing a consulting internship, joining a high-growth Utah tech company in an analyst role, or earning a project management certification are the most common pathways into the field.
Which companies hire strategys in Utah?
Employers hiring strategys in Utah right now include University of Utah, Zions Bancorporation, and AECOM, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's technology corridor in Lehi and Provo and its growing financial services sector in Salt Lake City produce steady demand for strategy professionals at multiple seniority levels.
Which Utah cities have the most strategy jobs?
Salt Lake City, Provo, and Lehi account for the largest share of strategy openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives volume through its concentration of healthcare systems, financial institutions, and corporate headquarters, while Lehi and Provo benefit from the dense cluster of technology and software companies that have established regional and national operations along the Wasatch Front.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields, since strategy work centers on analysis, planning, and communication rather than on-site operations. About 74% of strategy openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader trends in knowledge-work roles. Corporate strategy and business development positions at technology companies tend to offer the most location flexibility, while roles embedded in healthcare operations or manufacturing strategy are more likely to require in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a Utah employer in an analyst or business operations role and building toward a strategy title from within. Large Utah employers such as Intermountain Health and major tech firms along the Wasatch Front regularly hire rotational business analysts and operations associates who move into strategy functions over time. A finance, consulting, or data analytics background, combined with a strong presentation of a capstone project or independent market analysis, gives candidates without direct strategy titles a credible edge in the application process.
Where can I find and apply to strategy jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to strategy jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across industries and seniority levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
