Marketing Director — Ecommerce, Content & Growth
Austin, TX · Full-Time · Hybrid
We’re looking for a Director of Marketing: the strategist, operator, and driver of Noonday’s next chapter. This is not a strategy-from-the-sidelines role. We need a leader who lives for conversion rate optimization, owns Shopify Plus and Klaviyo with genuine technical depth, and understands that at a brand like Noonday, commerce and story are the same thing.
Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll set the digital vision and translate it into daily execution — owning the commercial plan, the promotional calendar, the email and SMS program, and the creative brief process. You’ll partner with our in-house creative team to make sure every campaign feels unmistakably Noonday. And you’ll lead the marketing launch of Noonday Travel, our newest and most differentiated growth channel.
This is a player/coach role — and we mean that without apology. You will build Klaviyo flows yourself. Write the emails. Send the texts. Configure the sales in Shopify. Manage the promotional and content calendars. The right person doesn’t see strategy and execution as a contradiction. They see it as the point: being close to the work makes you a sharper strategist, a more credible creative partner, and a better leader.
You’ll have real autonomy, present to leadership, and own the digital experience that defines our brand.
Austin, TX only - hybrid.
Responsibilities
Ecommerce & Shopify Plus: Own the Store
Shopify Plus is not a tool you’ve used — it’s a platform you know deeply and run with confidence. You’ll own the full DTC experience and obsess over every metric that tells you how the store is performing.
- Site ownership: Manage all merchandising on Shopify Plus: collections, product listings, landing pages for launches and sales — configured and executed by you
- Conversion obsession: Drive CRO across the full funnel — homepage, collection pages, PDPs, cart, and checkout — with relentless focus on removing friction and increasing AOV
- Technical sales management: Configure all sales events in Shopify: discounts, tags, collections, scheduled launches; coordinate timing with the warehouse team
- Mobile-first mindset: Optimize the mobile experience at every touchpoint; our customer shops on her phone and the store should feel built for her
- Performance ownership: Monitor site metrics weekly — sessions, conversion rate, AOV, revenue per visitor — and act on what you see
Email & SMS (Klaviyo): You’re Actually Doing This
Klaviyo is your most powerful retention tool. You’ll own it end to end — not manage someone who runs it. This means writing, building, and sending yourself, with the technical depth to architect a flow library that compounds over time.
- Campaign execution: Write, build, segment, QA, schedule, and send 4–6 campaigns per week across audiences in Klaviyo yourself
- Flow architecture: Own and maintain the full automated flow library: welcome, abandoned cart/checkout/browse, post-purchase, winback (75- and 120-day), review requests, back-in-stock, and sunset flows
- Segmentation strategy: Build behavior-based segments — product viewers, purchase-frequency tiers, geographic audiences, engaged non-openers — to personalize sends and protect deliverability
- SMS ownership: Own the SMS program end to end: copy, cadence, segmentation, compliance, and performance
- Multi-audience copywriting: Write for DTC customers, affiliates, wholesale partners, and Noonday Travel guests — each with its own voice and goal — while keeping every send unmistakably Noonday
Full-Funnel Growth Strategy: Build What Comes Next
You don’t think in channels. You think in funnels — from the first paid impression to the fifth repeat purchase — and you design strategies that make every stage stronger. You’ll architect what comes next across DTC, wholesale, affiliate, and travel, not just optimize what already exists.
- Promotional calendar: Own the annual promotional calendar from strategy through execution — every sale arc, every channel, every send — monitoring discount pressure and margin impact throughout
- Paid media direction: Direct our external paid media agency on Meta: strategy, budgets, audience architecture, and ROAS accountability; you set the direction and hold them to it
- Creative performance: Use tools like Motion to decode hook rates, fatigue, and winning angles — and turn findings into briefs the creative team can actually use
- Affiliate & creator programs: Manage and grow our affiliate program through ShopMy — recruitment, onboarding, commission strategy, tiering, and performance; lead creator outreach and UGC sourcing
Brand Storytelling & Content: Commerce and Story Are the Same Thing
This is a story-led brand. Every bracelet has a maker. Every maker has a story. Your job is to make sure that story reaches the right person at the right moment — in a way no algorithm can manufacture. You’ll be the custodian of the Noonday voice and the most informed partner our creative team has ever had.
- Voice ownership: Own and protect the Noonday voice across every channel and audience: DTC, wholesale, affiliates, and Noonday Travel guests
- Creative partnership: Brief the creative team with clarity and confidence — every ask grounded in brand truth, performance data, and what the customer actually responds to
- Calendar management: Own the content and marketing calendar, keeping creative, social, and contractors aligned, briefed, and never blocked
- Founder-led content: Partner with Jessica on founder-led content, in-person events, pop-ups, and artisan trip storytelling
Noonday Travel Marketing: Launch Our Most Differentiated Channel
Noonday Travel is our newest growth channel and our deepest competitive moat — immersive, artisan-hosted experiences in Guatemala, Uganda, Peru, Ecuador, and Nepal that bring customers face-to-face with the women who make their jewelry. Every trip has sold out. You’ll own the marketing that takes this from a beloved insider experience to a brand-defining franchise.
- Full launch ownership: Lead demand generation, landing pages, traveler onboarding, and post-trip storytelling for Noonday Travel
- Nurture sequences: Build email sequences that move people from curious to committed: announcement, waitlist, pre-departure, and alumni
- Audience development: Define the external traveler persona and reach strategy for audiences beyond our existing community — globetrotters, hope builders, and adventure seekers who love fashion
Reporting, AI & Continuous Optimization: Make the Team Faster
You’ll own the reporting cadence and integrate AI into how the team works — not as a novelty, but as a genuine multiplier. We want someone who identifies where AI unlocks us in ways we haven’t imagined yet, builds the workflows, and brings everyone along.
- Weekly marketing report: Own the Monday report: revenue, orders, AOV, conversion rate, email/SMS/paid metrics, and discount impact — with clear narrative and next actions, not just numbers
- Testing culture: Run A/B tests on subject lines, offers, creative, and site elements; translate results into decisions
- AI championship: Build workflows in tools like Claude Cowork and Notion that systematize how the team works — then actually train the team to use them; bring new AI applications to the table before we know we need them
Requirements
Experience
- 8+ years hands-on DTC ecommerce experience; Shopify Plus is a core competency — you have configured, merchandised, and optimized a Shopify Plus store yourself
- Deep Klaviyo fluency built from real experience running a consumer brand’s email and SMS program: flows, segmentation, deliverability, and campaign execution
- Proven track record building full-funnel growth strategies and measuring their revenue and margin impact
- 2+ years in a senior or lead marketing role with revenue ownership
- Background in DTC, lifestyle, apparel, or fashion preferred
Technical Mastery
- Strong command of CRO — you know what moves conversion and you act on it with speed and rigor
- Experience directing paid media agencies to ROAS targets on Meta; you set the strategy and hold them accountable
- Fluency with creative analytics tools and the ability to translate findings into actionable briefs
- Early adopter of AI tools in real marketing workflows — Claude, Notion AI, and Claude Cowork a strong plus
The Noonday Mindset
- You are obsessed with the customer experience and can’t help but notice how to make it better
- You are a player/coach who loves being close to the work — strategy and execution feel like the same job to you, because they are
- You are a builder: you don’t inherit strategies and run them; you look at what exists, ask what’s missing, and go make the thing
- You believe in what we’re building: a flourishing world where women are empowered, people have dignified jobs, and we are all connected
- You are collaborative, purposeful, and adaptable — and someone your teammates are genuinely glad to work with
Communication & Organization
- Strong copywriter who can shift voice across audiences while keeping the brand unmistakably Noonday
- Highly organized: content calendar, promotional calendar, contractor relationships, agency partnerships, and weekly reporting — nothing drops
Bonus Points
- Experience marketing travel, experiential products, or community-driven brands
- Background in content-commerce hybrids where editorial and retail are the same thing
- Experience managing affiliate and creator programs (ShopMy or similar)
- Familiarity with ethical fashion, fair trade, or B Corp-certified brands
- Experience with headless commerce or Shopify Plus customization
Benefits
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Hybrid work environment in Austin, TX
- Access to Noonday Travel artisan experiences in Guatemala, Uganda, Peru, Ecuador, and Nepal — yes, really
- Generous employee discount on products you’ll actually want to wear
- Paid parental leave
- Paid vacation and sick leave

Growth Marketing Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a growth marketing manager job in Austin?
Focus your search on Austin's SaaS companies, fintech startups, and direct-to-consumer brands, which hire growth marketers most actively. The Domain and East Austin tech corridor have the densest concentration of openings. Candidates who combine paid acquisition expertise with analytics skills, and who can show measurable revenue impact in past roles, stand out clearly in Austin's data-driven marketing culture.
Which companies hire growth marketing managers in Austin?
Companies currently hiring growth marketing managers in Austin include Amazon Web Services, DoorDash, and Clients Blackbox, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's market includes a healthy mix of high-growth tech startups, established enterprise software firms, and consumer-facing brands that maintain dedicated growth teams.
Are there remote growth marketing manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, growth marketing manager work is well-suited to remote arrangements given its analytical and digital-first nature. About 47% of growth marketing manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed these teams have become. Performance marketing, email lifecycle, and data analysis responsibilities tend to be the most remote-compatible functions within Austin-area roles.
How can I get a growth marketing manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through a coordinator or marketing associate role at a SaaS startup or growth-stage consumer brand, where small teams give junior hires broad exposure quickly.
