Upmarket & Deal Support: Build models that support complex sales motions, deal structuring, and pricing frameworks while driving efficiency across both mid-market and enterprise segments.
Headcount & Capacity Planning: Collaborate cross-functionally with People, Ops, and Analytics teams on headcount planning, organizational scaling, territory design, and quota allocation.
Dashboards & Systems Optimization: Partner with the BI team to deliver executive-facing dashboards, refine data governance, and automate planning workflows across financial systems as we scale.
What we're looking for:
Experience: 6+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, or investment banking, with direct experience supporting GTM/Sales organizations in high-growth SaaS environments.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of SaaS business metrics (ARR, Net Retention Rate, LTV/CAC, sales capacity, pipeline hygiene, and incentive comp structures).
Cross-Functional Influence: Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and translating complex financial data into actionable strategic guidance for non-finance stakeholders.
Technical & Modeling Mastery: Advanced financial modeling skills with hands-on proficiency in Excel. Experience with FP&A platforms (Anaplan, Adaptive, Planful), CRM (Salesforce), ERP (NetSuite), and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is strongly preferred.
AI & Modern Tooling Proficiency: Familiarity with leveraging AI tools, automated data workflows, or advanced analytics to increase FP&A efficiency, speed up data analysis, and automate forecasting processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Gtm Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a gtm manager in California?
There is no state-issued license or California-specific credential required to work as a gtm manager. Most California employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, combined with several years of experience in product marketing, sales enablement, or demand generation. Building a portfolio of documented launch results and measurable pipeline impact is the clearest way to qualify for gtm manager roles at California technology and enterprise software companies.
Which companies hire gtm managers in California?
Employers hiring gtm managers in California right now include Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, and Adobe, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's concentration of enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, and consumer technology headquarters means gtm hiring here tends to be consistent and well-structured, with clearly defined growth paths.
Which California cities have the most gtm manager jobs?
San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Jose have the most gtm manager openings in California. San Francisco and San Jose dominate because of the Bay Area's density of SaaS and enterprise technology headquarters, while Los Angeles reflects a growing ecosystem of media-tech, e-commerce, and fintech companies that have scaled their gtm functions significantly in recent years.
Are there remote gtm manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 62% of gtm manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how well the role's core work, including strategy, messaging, and cross-functional coordination, translates to distributed teams. The parts of the role most commonly handled remotely are competitive analysis, launch planning, and content development, while sales enablement and executive alignment often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a gtm manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a related role such as product marketing coordinator, sales operations analyst, or demand generation specialist into a junior gtm position. Large California technology companies including Salesforce and Google run associate or rotational programs that place early-career candidates in gtm functions. Building a case study showing a measurable outcome from even a small-scale launch, campaign, or competitive analysis project strengthens an application considerably for California employers who prioritize demonstrated impact over years of experience.
Where can I find and apply to gtm manager jobs in California?
You can find and apply to gtm manager jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
