Gtm Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a gtm manager in New York?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a gtm manager in New York. The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a technical field, followed by several years in roles like product marketing, sales strategy, or business development at New York companies. Many gtm managers at larger New York tech and media firms come from associate product marketing or growth analyst roles and move up by owning a product launch or market entry initiative.
Which companies hire gtm managers in New York?
Employers hiring gtm managers in New York right now include DoorDash, Navan, and Zip, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's heavy concentration of enterprise SaaS, fintech, and media companies means gtm manager roles here are often tied to large-scale product launches or competitive market expansion initiatives.
Which New York cities have the most gtm manager jobs?
The cities with the most gtm manager openings in New York are New York and Clifton Park. New York City dominates because it is home to the U.S. headquarters of major technology, financial services, and media companies, while smaller concentrations in areas like Brooklyn and Long Island City reflect the growth of mid-size tech startups and agency-side marketing firms.
Are there remote gtm manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 73% of gtm manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the largely desk-based and collaborative nature of the work. Strategy, competitive research, and content development portions of the role are most commonly done remotely, while cross-functional alignment meetings with New York-based product and sales teams tend to require some in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a gtm manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an associate product marketing or growth analyst role at a New York technology or SaaS company, where you can own a segment of a launch before moving into a full gtm manager position. Large New York employers like enterprise software firms and fintech companies regularly hire marketing coordinators or strategy associates who rotate through gtm functions. Building a portfolio that demonstrates a documented go-to-market project, even from an internship or a startup contract, gives candidates a clear edge over those with only coursework.
