H-1B Visa Casino Floor Runner Jobs
Casino Floor Runner roles sit in a gray zone for H-1B eligibility: gaming employers rarely classify the position as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field, so your petition depends heavily on how the employer frames the role. Targeting casinos with active H-1B LCA filing history gives you the clearest path.

Tips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship in Casino Floor Runner
Verify your degree supports specialty occupation
Casino Floor Runner duties vary by property. Before applying, confirm your employer can document that the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Operations management or hospitality degrees are the most defensible arguments to USCIS.
Research prevailing wages using OFLC Wage Search
Floor Runner wages vary significantly by market. Use OFLC Wage Search to find the prevailing wage for your specific metro area before your employer files the Labor Condition Application. Underpaying the LCA wage is a common filing error that triggers compliance issues.
Target casino groups with documented H-1B filing history
Not every gaming employer has filed H-1B petitions before. Use Migrate Mate to filter casinos and resort operators by verified LCA filing history, so you're only pursuing employers already familiar with the sponsorship process.
Ask employers how they classify the SOC code
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for roles without a clear specialty occupation SOC code. Ask your prospective employer which Standard Occupational Classification code they intend to use on the LCA, and cross-check the job zone level using O*NET before accepting an offer.
Time your application around the cap registration window
H-1B cap registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on OPT or another status, plan your job search so you have an offer in hand before registration closes. Missing the window means waiting a full year.
Prepare documentation of supervisory or operational scope
To survive an RFE, your employer needs evidence the Floor Runner role involves complex decision-making beyond routine tasks. Gather org charts, job descriptions, and internal performance records that demonstrate the degree of operational responsibility you carry on the floor.

Find Casino Floor Runner JobsCasino Floor Runner H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Casino Floor Runner role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
It depends on how the employer defines and documents the position. USCIS requires the role to normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Many gaming employers classify Floor Runners under general operations, which makes the specialty occupation argument harder. Employers who tie the role to hospitality management, business operations, or gaming compliance with a degree requirement have a stronger case.
Which casino employers are most likely to sponsor H-1B visas for this role?
Large integrated resort operators and gaming conglomerates are more likely to have in-house immigration infrastructure and prior H-1B filing experience than smaller tribal or regional properties. Rather than guessing, search Migrate Mate to see which specific employers have active LCA filings for operations or gaming-related roles in your target market.
Can I transfer an existing H-1B to a Casino Floor Runner position?
Yes, H-1B portability under AC21 lets you transfer to a new employer once your I-140 has been approved for 180 days, or while your change-of-employer petition is pending. The new employer still needs to file a new H-1B petition with a valid LCA. The specialty occupation requirement applies to the new role, not just the original approval.
What happens if USCIS issues an RFE on my Casino Floor Runner H-1B petition?
RFEs for this role type typically challenge whether the position is a specialty occupation. Your employer's response should include a detailed job description emphasizing the degree requirement, evidence of how similar positions are staffed industry-wide, and documentation of your specific duties. You have up to 87 days to respond, and USCIS makes a final decision after reviewing the submission.
Does my employer need to be E-Verify enrolled to sponsor my H-1B?
E-Verify enrollment is not a general H-1B requirement for most employers, but it is mandatory for federal contractors and for employers sponsoring F-1 STEM OPT students. If you're coming from STEM OPT, confirm your casino employer is E-Verify enrolled before accepting an offer. USCIS does not require E-Verify participation as a condition of H-1B approval for most private sector employers.
