About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As the Executive Briefing Program Lead, you will design, run, and scale the program that brings senior leaders from Anthropic's most strategic customers together with our spokespeople, product, and research teams. You will own the program end to end including qualification and intake, speaker selection, day-of execution, and post-briefing follow-through. You will own the agenda for briefings: setting its design and objectives, and developing it jointly with Product Marketing. You will also serve as the point of contact to account teams on how to use a briefing to move their most important opportunities forward.
This is a highly cross-functional role. You will work closely with GTM and the Office of the CCO on account selection and program strategy, with Product Marketing on content development, with Solutions on technical deep-dives and demos, and with Anthropic's executive bench on sponsorship and participation. The right candidate has built or scaled an executive briefing program at an enterprise technology company, operates well at high volume, and is credible with both field leadership and C-level customers.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the Executive Briefing program: briefing formats, qualification criteria, the request-and-intake process from Sales, capacity planning, calendar, and operating SLAs.
- Govern which strategic accounts and executives receive a briefing each quarter in partnership with GTM leadership; hold the qualification bar and proactively surface accounts that should be engaged.
- Lead discovery with account teams ahead of each briefing to understand the customer's objectives, business context, and where they are in their evaluation, and translate that into a tailored agenda.
- Own agenda design and co-own agenda development with Product Marketing for every briefing. Shape the narrative arc and discussion topics to the customer's objectives, select discussion leaders and demos, and partner with PMM to build the briefing-specific content.
- Build and manage the speaker bench: maintain the roster, match speakers to briefings, run prep, and manage capacity so no one is over-asked.
- Own day-of orchestration and the customer experience standard for briefings, in partnership with our Workplace team on logistics.
- Drive post-briefing follow-through: capture commitments and feedback, route them to owners, and track to close with the account team.
- Build the playbooks, tooling, and best practices that let the program scale consistently as volume grows.
- Own measurement and reporting, including briefing volume, strategic-account coverage, and program-influenced pipeline and expansion.
Minimum qualifications
- Built or significantly scaled an executive briefing program — you have defined qualification criteria, stood up an intake process, and managed a speaker bench.
- Fluency with enterprise technology narratives — you're as comfortable shaping the story for a specific customer as you are orchestrating the program around it.
- A track record as a strong operator at high volume: many briefings in flight at once, rigorous tracking, nothing dropped.
- Demonstrated credibility with enterprise Sales leadership and account teams as an advisor on briefing strategy and account engagement.
- Executive presence with Fortune 500 VP- and C-level customers; comfortable running discovery, hosting the room, and facilitating executive conversations.
- Strong cross-functional operating skills — able to orchestrate PMM, Solutions, Events, and a rotating bench of executives who don't report to you.
- Comfort owning a number and reporting on program-influenced pipeline or expansion to senior leadership.
- Clear written and verbal communication; you can brief an executive sponsor in three bullets and write the discovery doc behind it.
- Genuine interest in AI and in helping the world's largest enterprises adopt it responsibly.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$255,000 - $320,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Align your degree to the role
USCIS requires a direct relationship between your field of study and the Customer Program Manager role. A degree in business, operations management, or computer science maps cleanly. An unrelated degree needs supporting coursework or a credential evaluation to make the connection explicit.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search Migrate Mate to identify companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for Customer Program Manager or related titles. Past LCA filings confirm the employer understands the H-1B process, which reduces your risk of delays caused by employer inexperience.
Verify the prevailing wage level before negotiating
Run your job title and work location through the OFLC Wage Search before any salary conversation. Your offer must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your level. Accepting below that threshold triggers an LCA violation, not just a pay cut.
Confirm specialty occupation standing with O*NET
Pull the O*NET occupation profile for Customer Program Manager and document the degree requirements listed there. If an RFE questions whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, this profile gives your employer concrete evidence to cite in their response.
Clarify the cap timeline with your hiring manager
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in Q3 or Q4, your earliest cap-subject start could be 12 or more months away. Confirm the employer will hold the offer through the lottery cycle before accepting.
Use Migrate Mate to prepare your filing documents
Customer Program Manager petitions often draw RFEs on specialty occupation. Migrate Mate flags which document types, including position descriptions and degree equivalency letters, your employer needs to build a defensible I-129 package for this specific role.
H-1B Visa Customer Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Customer Program Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS requires the role to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Customer Program Manager positions at tech and enterprise software companies typically require degrees in business, computer science, or engineering. Job posting language matters, so your employer's offer letter and internal job description should specify the degree requirement explicitly, not just list it as preferred.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most often for Customer Program Managers?
Enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, management consulting, and telecommunications companies file the highest volume of H-1B LCAs for Customer Program Manager titles. These employers frequently manage complex multi-year client contracts that require dedicated program oversight, which makes the specialty occupation argument straightforward. You can filter by industry and LCA filing history on Migrate Mate to narrow your search to verified sponsoring employers.
Can I switch Customer Program Manager jobs on H-1B without restarting the cap?
Yes, if you're already in H-1B status, moving to a new employer with a comparable Customer Program Manager role uses H-1B portability under AC21. Your new employer files an I-129 transfer petition and you can start working once it's received by USCIS, without waiting for approval. The new petition should reflect a similar scope of duties to avoid classification issues during adjudication.
How does remote work affect H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Each work location requires its own Labor Condition Application. If you're hired as a Customer Program Manager and later shift to remote work in a different state, your employer must file an amended LCA and potentially an amended I-129 for the new worksite. Fully remote roles where you work from multiple client sites also require careful LCA management, since each new location above a short-term threshold triggers a posting and filing obligation.
What documentation strengthens an H-1B petition for a Customer Program Manager?
The employer needs a detailed position description that links specific duties, such as program governance, stakeholder reporting, and budget management, to the degree requirement. Supporting documents include the certified LCA, your degree certificates, and any credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S. For roles that blend technical and relationship management responsibilities, O*NET occupation data and internal org charts showing where the role sits relative to technical teams can reinforce the specialty occupation argument.
