ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure MTV providers, credentials, and source/target connectivity.
- Discover and inventory VMware virtual machines eligible for migration.
- Develop and execute VM migration plans using approved migration pipelines.
- Validate network and storage mappings before migration.
- Execute cold and warm migrations, including data transfer and cutover activities.
- Monitor migration progress and troubleshoot MTV errors and transfer failures.
- Perform technical validation, rollback coordination, and post-migration checks.
- Maintain migration runbooks, execution procedures, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with VMware, OpenShift, network, storage, and guest remediation teams.
- Support readiness assessments, pilot migrations, production migration waves, and hypercare.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience with Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV).
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift CLI (oc) and console.
