Key responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership: Leading a team that may consist of engineers and design technicians. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior-level engineers and other team members to aid in their professional development. Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment among the team.

Project Management: Serving as a project manager for IDOT/ or MoDOT and local agency roadway design projects. Overseeing and participating in project execution from initiation to completion. Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Project Delivery & Quality: Performing quality checks on work performed by project team members. Providing leadership in the planning, design, and execution of major projects. Preparing project documents and designs, conducting analyses, interpreting data, and planning and coordinating the engineering work to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Reviewing and approving project deliverables, including drawings and specifications. Serving as a technical expert in Roadway design. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing measures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
