Verify your SOC code before applying
ERP Analyst roles map to multiple SOC codes depending on the system and function. Pull your occupation's O*NET profile to confirm the degree requirements align with your credentials before submitting applications.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter ERP Analyst openings by employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for this role. LCA history signals that the employer already understands H-1B compliance, cutting weeks off your timeline.
Document your ERP specialization clearly
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for analyst roles. Gather transcripts showing coursework in enterprise systems or database design, plus a letter from your employer linking your specific ERP module work to that degree field.
Ask about prevailing wage tier at the offer stage
The DOL's OFLC Wage Search shows four wage levels for your SOC code and metro area. Confirm your offer sits at Level II or above before signing, since Level I often draws RFEs questioning whether the role truly requires a specialty degree.

Find ERP Analyst JobsERP Analyst H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an ERP Analyst role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the job description requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as information systems, computer science, or business information technology. Generic analyst postings that accept any degree can trigger an RFE. Before applying, review the job's stated degree requirement and confirm your credentials match the specific field listed, not just the title.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for ERP Analysts?
Implementation partners for SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics, along with large enterprises running those systems in-house, file H-1B petitions for ERP Analysts regularly. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified LCA filing history for this role so you can focus your search on companies that have sponsored before rather than guessing from job postings alone.
Can I switch ERP platforms or modules after my H-1B is approved?
Significant changes to your job duties can require an amended H-1B petition. If your approved petition described SAP FI/CO work and your employer reassigns you to Workday HCM, the role's core duties may have changed enough to warrant an amendment. Check with your employer's immigration counsel before accepting any internal transfer that shifts your module or system focus.
How does prevailing wage apply to ERP Analyst positions?
The DOL requires your employer to pay the prevailing wage for your SOC code, job level, and geographic location, certified through the LCA. ERP Analysts performing configuration and functional design typically fall at wage Level II or III. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the rate for your metro area before evaluating an offer, since underpayment is a common compliance issue for this role.
What happens to my H-1B status if my employer's ERP project ends?
Your H-1B is tied to your sponsoring employer, not the project. If the project ends and your employer has no other work, they must either reassign you or terminate your employment and notify USCIS. You then have a 60-day grace period to find a new H-1B sponsor, file for a change of status, or depart the U.S. Start your job search immediately if a project wind-down looks likely.
