H-1B Visa Global Account Manager Jobs
Global Account Manager roles qualify for H-1B sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Employers file the Labor Condition Application with DOL before petitioning USCIS, and the annual cap means timing your job search around the April lottery window matters.

In this role, you will join and lead a high-performing, global account team spanning multiple design centers and regions. You'll set the strategy, build deep executive and engineering relationships, and orchestrate cross-functional execution, from early technical engagement and design wins through qualification and high-volume ramp.
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy leading globally, and want to make a visible impact with a marquee customer, this role offers a rare combination of scale, speed, and strategic relevance.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Account Strategy & Planning:
- Own and maintain the global account plan: customer org map, technology roadmap alignment, opportunity pipeline, competitive landscape, and multi-year growth strategy.
- Identify target platforms/programs and drive design-win strategy for copper and optical interconnect portfolios.
- Establish clear account priorities, success metrics, and operating cadence across regions and functions.
Customer Relationship Leadership:
- Serve as the primary Molex relationship owner for customer stakeholders across engineering, signal integrity, system architecture, sourcing/procurement, manufacturing, supplier quality, and operations.
- Build and manage executive alignment (EBRs/QBRs), ensuring proactive roadmap discussions, issue escalation paths, and consistent communication.
- Develop Molex's position as a strategic partner by delivering differentiated value in performance, reliability, scalability, and speed-to-market.
Cross-Functional Global Team Leadership:
- Lead a global cross-functional account team across design centers (USA/Israel/Taiwan/China/others), and coordinate engagement with engineering, PM, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing partners to drive aligned execution and results.
- Drive alignment on technical requirements, development schedules, qualification plans, capacity strategies, and customer deliverables.
- Coordinate internal governance for prioritization, resource allocation, and rapid decision-making in a matrix environment.
Design Win Execution & Program Commercialization:
- Lead opportunity qualification and execution from early engagement through RFQ/RFP, prototyping, validation/qualification, and ramp to production.
- Partner with engineering/product teams to ensure technical credibility and strong proposal quality (architecture fit, SI considerations, materials, test strategy, reliability).
- Ensure robust program management: timelines, risk registers, change control, and customer-facing milestone tracking.
Commercial Leadership & Negotiation:
- Own commercial strategy including pricing frameworks, cost models, margin management, and negotiation approach.
- Lead global negotiations (in partnership with legal/finance) for NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, supply agreements, SLAs, and quality agreements as required.
- Drive forecasting accuracy, demand visibility, and alignment to customer's planning cycles.
Operational Excellence, Quality & Risk Management:
- Align Molex operations and supply chain to meet customer expectations on quality, delivery, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Partner with Supplier Quality/Operations to manage escalations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant requirements (trade compliance/export controls, data security, customer standards, and internal policies).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in global/key account management, strategic sales, or commercial leadership in interconnect, electronics, semiconductor ecosystem, or data center infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success driving design wins and scaling high-volume programs with complex technical requirements.
- Proven ability to lead global, matrixed teams across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen (margin, total cost, pricing strategy, risk/return tradeoffs).
- Excellent executive communication and structured problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; advanced degree a plus.
- Experience managing business across USA, Israel, Taiwan, China including cultural fluency and cross-time-zone execution.
- Track record of navigating complex customer environments: stakeholder mapping, executive alignment, and influencing technical + sourcing decisions.
- Familiarity with optical interconnect technologies.
For this role, we anticipate paying $220,000 - $250,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Global Account Manager
Map your degree to the role
USCIS requires a direct connection between your degree field and Global Account Manager duties. A business, international relations, or marketing degree maps cleanly. If your degree is in an unrelated field, gather documentation showing how your coursework aligns with strategic account management.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm which companies have filed Labor Condition Applications for account management roles. Employers with repeated LCA filings for similar titles are far more likely to have an established H-1B process than those filing for the first time.
Search verified sponsors on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Global Account Manager jobs by employers with confirmed H-1B filing history, so you're not guessing which companies will sponsor. Start your search there to focus your applications on employers who've already committed to the sponsorship process.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier early
DOL sets four wage levels for each occupation and metro area. Global Account Manager roles at large enterprise accounts often fall at Level III or IV. Ask recruiters which wage level the employer intends to certify before you advance in the process, since a downgraded title can affect your offer.
Negotiate the H-1B filing timeline in your offer
If you're on OPT, confirm whether the employer will file for the April lottery and whether they'll pay for premium processing. A 60-day cap-gap window exists if your OPT expires before October 1, but only if the petition was filed and received before your OPT end date.
Validate your specialty occupation classification
Pull the O*NET profile for Sales Managers and Account Managers to identify the listed education requirements and job zone. This data supports your employer's specialty occupation argument in the I-129 petition and helps you anticipate any Request for Evidence around whether the role requires a degree.

Find Global Account Manager JobsGlobal Account Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Global Account Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the employer can show the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or international relations. Generic sales roles without a degree requirement can face scrutiny. The stronger the connection between your degree field and the account management duties in the job description, the cleaner the specialty occupation argument.
How do I find Global Account Manager jobs where employers actively sponsor H-1B visas?
Migrate Mate shows Global Account Manager roles filtered by employers with verified H-1B LCA filing history, so you can focus on companies that have already sponsored similar positions. You can also cross-reference the DOL's OFLC disclosure data to confirm filing frequency for a specific employer before investing time in their application process.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer if I switch Global Account Manager roles?
Yes. H-1B portability under AC21 lets you start working for a new employer as soon as they file a new I-129 petition, as long as your current H-1B has been approved for at least 180 days. Your new employer must file before your current status expires, and the new role must remain a qualifying specialty occupation.
What documentation should I prepare to support an H-1B petition for this role?
You'll need your degree transcripts, any professional certifications relevant to enterprise account management, and a resume that clearly connects your experience to the specific duties listed in the job description. If your degree field doesn't match the role title exactly, a credential evaluation and a detailed experience letter from a prior employer can strengthen the petition.
Do Global Account Manager roles at multinational companies have better H-1B sponsorship options?
Multinationals that operate U.S. subsidiaries may also qualify you for an L-1 intracompany transfer if you've worked for a related entity abroad for at least one year in the past three. This sidesteps the H-1B lottery entirely. USCIS evaluates L-1 petitions on a managerial or specialized knowledge basis, and Global Account Manager duties can meet the specialized knowledge standard in many cases.
