Global Talent Acquisition
This Is Not a Back-Office Recruiting Role
This is a front-line, high-impact role for recruiters who know how to win, who can partner with senior leaders, and who want their work to matter beyond filling seats. At Axon, we don't recruit for "jobs." We recruit for a mission: to protect life, build trust, and create safer communities. We move fast, we think big, and we expect our recruiters to bring swagger, boldness, and grit to the table. If you're the kind of recruiter who thrives on hard searches, strong opinions, data-backed decisions, and telling leaders the truth—you'll fit right in.
Your Impact
As a Senior GTM Recruiter at Axon, you will own full-cycle recruiting for high-impact sales roles that directly fuel our growth and mission. You'll act as a talent advisor, not an order-taker—shaping role profiles, influencing hiring decisions, and building pipelines that scale with the business. You'll partner with driven sales leaders, operate with urgency and accountability, and help raise the bar for what "great" looks like across our sales organization. Recruiting here is a team sport, but ownership matters—and you'll have plenty of it.
This role is based out of our Boston, MA office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.

The Bottom Line

If you want ownership, influence, swagger, and impact—welcome to Axon.

Verify your role meets specialty occupation
Pull the O*NET profile for GTM Manager or Marketing Manager to confirm the degree requirement language. Employers and USCIS adjudicators both check whether the role requires a specific bachelor's field, not just any degree.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating offers
Run your target job title and metro area through the OFLC Wage Search before finalizing compensation talks. Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage, so knowing Level II versus Level III rates protects you from an underpaid offer.
Target employers with cap-exempt filing history
Universities, nonprofit research organizations, and government-affiliated entities are cap-exempt, meaning your petition skips the lottery entirely. GTM roles at academic medical centers or nonprofit think tanks are less common but worth pursuing if lottery odds concern you.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsors
Search GTM Manager roles on Migrate Mate to see employers with confirmed H-1B LCA filing history for this job category. That filing history tells you the employer has already cleared DOL's prevailing-wage process for similar roles before.
Request premium processing in your offer negotiation
USCIS premium processing upgrades I-129 adjudication to 15 business days for an additional fee. GTM hires often have hard start dates tied to product launches or fiscal quarters, so negotiate who covers the upgrade cost before you sign.
Document cross-functional scope for RFE defense
GTM Manager petitions draw Requests for Evidence when the role looks like general management rather than a specialty occupation. Gather org charts, campaign briefs, and revenue-attribution reports that show the role demands a specific marketing or business strategy degree to perform.
H-1B Visa Gtm Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a GTM Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as marketing, business administration, or a related discipline. USCIS evaluates the job duties, not just the title. Roles that blend strategy, product positioning, and revenue operations tend to qualify more cleanly than broad general management titles, so the offer letter and job description need to reflect specialized degree requirements.
How do I find employers actively sponsoring H-1B visas for GTM roles?
Browse GTM Manager listings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with verified H-1B Labor Condition Application filing history for marketing and go-to-market roles. Past LCA filings signal that an employer has already navigated DOL's prevailing-wage certification process for similar positions, which shortens the sponsorship conversation when you reach the offer stage.
What is the typical H-1B filing timeline for a GTM Manager hire?
Your employer must file an LCA with DOL at least seven business days before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. Cap-subject petitions are submitted in April for an October 1 start date, so hiring decisions typically happen by February or March. If your employer qualifies for premium processing, USCIS adjudicates the I-129 within 15 business days of receipt.
Can my employer sponsor my H-1B if they have never done it before?
Yes. Any U.S. employer can sponsor an H-1B petition regardless of prior filing history. First-time sponsors need to register with USCIS's online registration system before the lottery, obtain an FEIN, and file the LCA through DOL's FLAG system. Many HR teams at smaller companies hire an immigration attorney to manage the process for a first sponsorship.
What happens to my H-1B status if my GTM role changes significantly after approval?
A material change in job duties, worksite, or salary can require an amended I-129 petition before the change takes effect. If your role evolves from individual-contributor GTM work into a broader general management function, USCIS may view the amended petition as a new specialty occupation determination. Document changes with your employer promptly and file the amendment proactively to stay in valid status.
