The Role
The Merchandising Analyst performs diverse tasks in the Merchandising department. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of new item setup paperwork for the category team, and managing the new item setup process. The Merchandising Supervisor must be highly organized and skilled in cross-functional work, as they will work to provide project management support for numerous critical Merchandising planning processes. This role supports a passionate team of food experts. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about merchandising, including product sourcing and selection, eCommerce site selling strategies, and the grocery supply chain.
What You’ll Do
- Perform varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Merchandising.
- Manage cost paperwork accuracy for category team, and provide to them for timeline entry into pricing system.
- Inputs new data into forms, and works with Master Data team to facilitate new item setup and any needed product Master Data changes.
- Processes changes to data required and maintains log of actions related to change.
- Maintains department records and files.
- As necessary, supports cross-functional projects such as holiday planning, eCommerce content planning, and other Merchandising initiatives.
- Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.
- Assist with the validation of vendor submitted deals.
