Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship in Oracle Fusion Cloud
Verify your SOC code before applying
Oracle Fusion Cloud roles get filed under different SOC codes depending on whether your work is implementation, configuration, or development. Pull the O*NET profile for each code your target employers use so your resume language matches the LCA job description.
Target implementation partners over end users
Oracle consulting partners file H-1B petitions continuously because their project pipeline demands it year-round. End-user companies file episodically. Focusing your search on Tier 1 and Tier 2 Oracle implementation partners significantly increases your odds of finding an active sponsor.
Search verified H-1B filers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Oracle Fusion Cloud roles on Migrate Mate to see which employers have active LCA filings for this specific skill set. That data comes from DOL disclosure files, so you're not guessing about sponsorship willingness before you apply.
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
USCIS scrutinizes Oracle Fusion Cloud petitions where the degree field is ambiguous. A computer science or information systems degree maps cleanly. If your degree is in a different field, gather course transcripts showing IT and ERP coursework before your employer files Form I-129.
Negotiate the H-1B filing timeline into your offer
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer in July, you're waiting a full year unless the employer qualifies for cap-exempt status. Clarify the filing plan and start date before signing.
Confirm prevailing wage compliance before the LCA is filed
Your employer must certify your offered wage meets the DOL prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Run the OFLC Wage Search yourself using the role's SOC code and your city to catch any wage gaps before the LCA submission.
H-1B Visa Oracle Fusion Cloud: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Oracle Fusion Cloud role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation and administration roles consistently qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business information technology. The key factor is that the employer's job description must tie the degree requirement to the specific duties of the role, not simply list a degree as preferred.
Which employers are actively sponsoring H-1B visas for Oracle Fusion Cloud professionals?
Oracle implementation partners and large enterprise consulting firms are the most active H-1B sponsors for this skill set because their project-based staffing model requires continuous filings. You can browse employers with verified H-1B LCA filing history for Oracle Fusion Cloud roles directly on Migrate Mate, where the data is sourced from DOL disclosure files rather than self-reported employer claims.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer for an Oracle Fusion Cloud role mid-year?
Yes. H-1B portability under AC21 lets you start working for a new employer as soon as the transfer petition is filed with USCIS, without waiting for approval, provided you've been in valid H-1B status for at least 180 days. Your new employer files Form I-129 with a new LCA covering the Oracle Fusion Cloud role, and your work authorization continues during adjudication.
How does prevailing wage work for Oracle Fusion Cloud positions across different locations?
The DOL sets prevailing wages by SOC code and geographic area, so the certified wage on your employer's LCA will differ between San Francisco, Austin, and Chicago even for identical Oracle Fusion Cloud roles. Your employer uses the OFLC Wage Search to determine the applicable wage level before certifying the LCA. If you're working remotely or traveling to client sites, the LCA must cover all work locations, which can trigger additional prevailing wage obligations.
What happens to my H-1B status if my Oracle Fusion Cloud project ends between client engagements?
Your H-1B status remains valid during brief gaps between project assignments as long as your employer maintains the employment relationship and continues paying the LCA wage. Bench periods without pay violate H-1B terms. If your employer places you in an unpaid status, your 60-day grace period begins only after your employment is formally terminated, not at the start of the bench period.
