- Provide technical leadership and architectural vision throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Lead cross‑functional technical teams through influence and collaboration.
- Identify, assess, and manage technical risks, dependencies, and constraints.

Verify your degree field matches the role
USCIS scrutinizes whether your degree directly relates to Salesforce architecture work. A computer science, information systems, or engineering degree strengthens your petition. Unrelated degrees paired with certifications alone often draw Requests for Evidence.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search DOL's LCA disclosure data for companies that have certified Labor Condition Applications under job titles like 'Salesforce Architect' or 'CRM Solution Architect.' Past LCA filings confirm an employer has navigated the H-1B process before and understands the requirements.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsors
Search Migrate Mate to find Salesforce Solution Architect roles at employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history. The platform surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data so you're targeting companies that have already filed for this occupation, not guessing.
Stack Salesforce certifications strategically before applying
Certifications like Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect support the specialty occupation argument in your I-129 petition. USCIS adjudicators weigh industry credentials alongside your degree when evaluating whether the role genuinely requires specialized knowledge.
Negotiate your offer against the DOL prevailing wage
Your employer must pay at least the DOL-certified prevailing wage for your job title and work location before USCIS will approve your petition. Run your offer through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm it meets or exceeds the Level I through Level IV threshold for your metro area.
Plan your petition timeline around implementation cycles
Many Salesforce architects are hired ahead of large platform rollouts, which means your start date may not align with the October 1 H-1B cap activation. Ask your employer about cap-exempt entities or whether premium processing is available to close any gap between your offer date and authorized start.
H-1B Visa Salesforce Solution Architect: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Salesforce Solution Architect role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS evaluates whether the position normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Salesforce Solution Architect roles typically require degrees in computer science, information systems, or engineering, and USCIS has consistently approved H-1B petitions for similar titles. Your employer's job description must clearly articulate that a related degree is a genuine requirement, not merely preferred.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Salesforce Solution Architects?
Salesforce implementation partners, large enterprise software consultancies, and companies running major CRM transformation programs are the most active H-1B sponsors for this role. You can verify sponsorship history by reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data or using Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by employers with documented LCA filing history for this occupation.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new Salesforce employer mid-project?
Yes. Under H-1B portability, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file an I-129 transfer petition, provided your current status is valid and you haven't had a gap in authorized employment. Your new employer must file a new LCA certified for the role's work location before submitting the transfer petition to USCIS.
How does remote work affect the H-1B petition for a Salesforce Solution Architect?
Your employer must file a certified LCA for every location where you work for more than 30 days in a calendar year. If you work remotely from a state different from your employer's office, a separate LCA covering your home address location is required. USCIS and DOL have both issued guidance clarifying that short-term remote arrangements require amended filings if the worksite changes materially.
Does holding a Salesforce Certified Application Architect credential strengthen my H-1B petition?
It can. USCIS adjudicators consider industry certifications as corroborating evidence when evaluating the specialty occupation requirement, particularly if your academic degree is in a field that is adjacent rather than directly aligned to enterprise architecture. Certifications don't replace the degree requirement, but they reinforce the argument that the role demands highly specialized knowledge beyond a general business or IT background.
