Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Technical Success Manager
Align your degree to the role
USCIS scrutinizes whether your degree field directly supports a Technical Success Manager position. Frame your computer science, engineering, or information systems background against the technical depth the role requires, implementation, API integration, or platform architecture, not just the customer-facing component.
Search LCA filings by occupation code
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up certified LCAs under SOC code 15-1299 or 11-9199. This tells you which employers have actively filed for roles matching Technical Success Manager before you apply, saving you from targeting companies with no sponsorship track record.
Find verified sponsors on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B LCA filing history filtered to Technical Success Manager roles, so you're not guessing which companies will sponsor. Run your search by industry or location to narrow down active sponsors before sending a single application.
Request premium processing before your start date
If your OPT or cap-gap authorization ends before USCIS adjudicates your H-1B, ask your employer to elect premium processing on Form I-907. This gives USCIS a 15-business-day window to act, reducing the risk of a gap that interrupts your Technical Success Manager onboarding.
Document technical scope in your offer letter
A vague offer letter weakens the specialty occupation argument. Ask your employer to specify the technical responsibilities, such as solution architecture, integration troubleshooting, or platform configuration, not just account management duties, so the H-1B petition clearly establishes degree-level requirement.
Verify prevailing wage tier before accepting
Cross-check your offered salary against the DOL prevailing wage level for your work location using the OFLC Wage Search. Technical Success Manager roles can span Level I through Level III depending on complexity. Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the applicable level.
H-1B Visa Technical Success Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Technical Success Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as computer science, information systems, or engineering. If the job description emphasizes technical implementation, integration management, or platform configuration rather than general account management, USCIS is more likely to recognize it as a specialty occupation. A well-drafted job duties description in the I-129 petition is critical.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most often for Technical Success Manager positions?
SaaS companies, cloud infrastructure providers, and enterprise software vendors file the largest share of H-1B LCAs for Technical Success Manager roles. These employers regularly sponsor because the position requires domain-specific technical knowledge that aligns with degree requirements USCIS expects. You can verify an employer's filing history through the OFLC's public LCA disclosure data before applying. Migrate Mate filters this data by role so you can identify active sponsors quickly.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer for a Technical Success Manager role?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file an H-1B transfer petition with USCIS, without waiting for approval, as long as your prior H-1B was approved and you haven't fallen out of status. The new employer must file a new I-129 and a certified LCA covering your Technical Success Manager duties at the destination work location.
What happens to my H-1B if my Technical Success Manager role shifts significantly after filing?
A material change in job duties, work location, or employment level can require an amended H-1B petition. If your role expands from technical onboarding to managing a team or shifts to a different office, your employer may need to file an amended I-129 with a new LCA certified by DOL. Failing to amend when required can create compliance risk for both you and your employer.
How do I identify which employers are actively sponsoring H-1B visas for this role?
The most direct method is reviewing certified LCA filings through the OFLC Wage Search, filtering by relevant SOC codes for technical or customer success management roles. This shows you which employers have recently committed to sponsoring the position at a specific wage level and work site. Migrate Mate aggregates this data and lets you search by job title, so you can target verified H-1B sponsors without manually downloading government disclosure files.
